Mine is similar ro this one and it works well. You first have to fill it with water, wet the cotton stick and wait for roughly 5-10 minutes, add a few drops of essential oil, close the top, plug power connector, turn it on and wait.

do i need to make a huge hole in the top where smoke comes out? i kinda make a small hole in it works but im not satisfied on the few smokes coming out. but when i make it bigger then smoke didnt came out. have i done something wrong?

It is connected to a usb port just like you charge your mobile phone. If you use it then you have to connect it on that time.

Im sorry to hear from your product not working properly.
I have mine for 1 year and month im just lucky to have it still working until now.
Their was one time only a little bit was flowing air but then i change the water and then soaked for 10 mins then it worked again.
U have to wet the mast like make it absorb water first i think not just plug and play ☝️🤔
I realise that actually and soaked the mast with water and later it worked fine so at the end i figured it out. Thanks for the info
