This is one of the greatest scenes of all time in any movie, any genre, any time period.
Kurt Russell at his greatest and that mustache is made of bald eagles, gunpowder, and American flags.

When the bully gets bullied. And slapped. And humiliated. And his entire soul eviscerated. And then dragged out by his ear.

Wonder how many takes were used in this scene? "Okay Kurt, not bad but give me vicious eyes to go with the two face slaps. Tell you what, make it three with the last one the hardest yet. Okay, quiet on the set! Take 87 ... and ... action!"

Bullies are used to people being afraid of them, or at least unsure - they don't expect someone to move closer to them after such a challenge. I had a guy, younger and bigger than me, square off about 6 feet away and threaten to "knock my block off". He definitely didn't expect me to calmly close within two feet of him and say very, very quietly, "first of all, you're never going to threaten me, or anyone else in my presence, ever again. Do you understand that?" He folded even faster than Billy Bob here.

My wife and I love this movie. One day my wife tried to quote Kurt's line but got it twisted around. She said, "go ahead, smoke that skin wagon and see what happens". Now, it's a running joke between her and me. A great source of amusement.

The scene before it was edited:
Johnny Tyler: "Sumpin' on your mind?"
Wyatt Earp: "I just want to let you know you're sitting in my chair."
    Tyler: "Is that a fact?"
    Earp: "Yeah. That's a fact."
Tyler: "Well, for a man who don't go heeled, you sure run your mouth kinda reckless, don't you?"
Earp: " I may not have a gun, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you remove your nether regions from my chair right now, that'll be the end of it. I will not embarrass you, I will not initiate hostilities against you, but if you don't, I will bitchslap you so hard you'll think you were Ike Turner's wife, then drag you across the room by the ear and throw you out face-first into the dusty street in front of the entire town. I'll make you wish that Doc Holiday was your huckleberry. I'll make you wish that you were part of the 50 percent that disappeared when Thanos snapped his fingers."
