A bunch of us girls went to his concert in MN before they were well known. I went not knowing who or what. Anyways afterwards they were signing autographs and I was standing back letting my crazy friends take over and he(still not sure of his name...to me he was Sawyer😂)but anyways he got up and walked over to me and grabbed my hand and said don't be so shy. He was very sweet and kind to a shy girl from Minnesota that went to his concert with a bunch of crazy women. Fun memories ❤
First off - it's kinda hard to type when my eyes are blurry. This song's words will never be truer to anyone than to me in the late 70's. I married my high school sweetheart but it didn't last. I heard these words, sat down and talked to God, and got a divorce from the love of my life. Four years later (on the greener side of the hill) met my current wife of 43 years which I love to death...but still shed a tear for my first wife when I hear this song. THANK YOU for posting it!!
It’s an aside to comment here ..I tune in to this lovely Eagles rendition of their classic..thinking about Glenn Frey’s passing in 2016.. his widow angry and upset over his healthcare in hospital settings treating his RA. Suffered from overmedicating and the additional pain that brought along. Moved me to reflect on the chaos of healthcare today. And eventually when no help for my long-standing health challenges..and physicians ignoring the continual replay of Covid I had acquired.. I converted my personal care to Self management now for several years. It generates more peaceable daily outcomes. I extend gratitude to Glenn’s widow for speaking out. 💫🦋🌈
Remember being a kid in the sixties with older siblings and listening to these guys and l liked them alot better than the Beatles and stones!! They had that edginess to them and the rock blues that I liked compared to the other bands around that time!! Brings me back to my younger years listening to this music!!
Marshall Tucker wasn't formed until 1972. The Beatles were long gone. Their first album was recorded and released in 1973. Their big hit on that album which brought major attention to them was Can't You See. Other songs on the album ranked very high also.
Thanks so much for posting this and making it easier for a halfass rhythm player like myself to play and sing this song. AWESOME thing you are doing...
I can't believe no one has come up with this before always have split screens cords on left u tube on the right and you have to stop playing to scroll. Excellent
Wow, my friend - what a cool country Sound, i like this (👍10). I would like more of that, keep it up, great!! So many greetings from germany from Daniel 😎🤘
Love this song....but I have never before encountered this version in which the 3rd and 4th verse are conflated into a single verse. I HAVE heard a shorter [AM radio] version in which the instrumental break between verses 2 and 3 is eliminated.
I thought I thought I was already subscibed to your site thus giving me access to many song to play along with. Some thing is going on with my phone. Could you please tell me how i can gain entry to your vast library of chord only no capo play along mysic thank you. G Anderson

This speaks to how Southern Rock storytelling in songs is very intimate and powerful, all at the same time 😢
