Really great Battlereport! Nice painted Minis. This is a true action movie... well filmed. I like your gaming room. You put heartblood in it - the room, the minis, the table, the report. This is wargaming as it should be - art, tactics & passion. Thank you.
Another amazing battle report with awesome setup. Especially liked the Osprey! Not sure the faces of the guys in the desert from WWII needed blacking out… that photo is VERY well known, and not normally blacked out!
It is definitely worth a try. The free-form nature allows almost endless scenario possibilities. It is fast, easy, action packed. Its great. The miniatures are fantastic as well.
One of my all-time favorite AARs! Modern warfare and special forces don't get enough attention, in my opinion. You've perfectly captured the spirit of Spectre Operations, bringing a dramatic raid mission to life in under 15 minutes. I appreciate the way you try to represent the real-life capabilities and tactics of elite spec ops units - from multinational joint command task forces to the use of military working dogs and designated marksmen. The arrival of militia reinforcements during exfiltration added one last moment of tension to the game. What are your thoughts on how Spectre compares to other modern wargaming rulesets like Ambush Alley's Force on Force (and the Classified supplement in particular for this scenario), Osprey's Black Ops or InCountry by Enemy Spotted Studios?
Thanks Mark! your compliments are well appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to offer this feedback. To your question. To be honest we have only played original Spectre Operations, and fore on force. I think they are pretty comparable, basic fire and movement mechanics but with a ton of bolt-on rules. The others i have heard of but have no experience with. AND, i say original Spectre Operation because i have heard that the company split and a new set of rules under the spectre name has been released. I similarly don't know anything about them. Stay tuned we hope to do a couple projects in 2025.
Kinda stumbled on this. I am not familiar with the rule set but I am wondering if there are rules for supporting units. As in real like if a Tier 1 unit with support from an allied nation's intelligence direct action organization were going after an HVT there would be some type of real time intelligence support such as a drone or other asset. If some one could let me know as this war game rules sound interesting.
Spectre is cool and does have rules for a lot of support assets. EOD, dog handlers, snipers, etc. There are rules for drone use. But, the cool thing about this rule set and most for that matter is that you can create specific rules yourself to fill a specific interest. Also, Spectre can be very scenario driven meaning, if there's s story you have in mind PLAY IT!
@@LongShotWargaming Thanks. I'll have to check it out. Seems like it would be nice to come up with some ideas I have for "Ghost Recon" based conflict scenarios I have had.
@@LongShotWargaming dang, i live east of Columbus in a town called Newark if you guys would ever want to play some BG id love to find more players. Thanks for all your content btw
@@Stahl_Amerikanisch besides us there is another contingent of BG player just north of Cincinnati, it would be something to get the southern ohio battlegroup showdown started haha
Outstanding battle report, great game! 👍🏻 I'm surprised that DMR wasn't smoking jokers all day, clearing rooftops and zapping technical drivers/ gunners before they became an issue. Some bad rolls getting roleplayed in the replay?
Hi guys, love the battle report and both of your modern games have been amazing. Mind if I ask where you got your tech up from? Trying to find a cheap option for my insurgent forces as well!
Thanks! What you see is 85% game play. Sometimes things need to be shortened a bit or simplified for video purposes but the vast majority is exactly how the game played.
A great looking narrative report.

Thank you for the fantastic comment.
Great battle report and set up!👍👍
Wow that table is incredible, I’d love a vid on it/the whole game room. Very cool.
LET'S GO!!! Always a good day when another war game battle report is put out by you guys!
Agreed, I wish they could do more
another awesome battle report. excellent table and miniatures. cant wait to see what you guys do next!

Was worth the wait, well done guys another top notch AAR.
Thanks Brett!
Very nice. Once again, great looking table, mini's and AAR. Looking forward to seeing what Long Shot comes out with next :D
Thanks again D E for the view and comment!
Very cool Battle Report! 😊 Great Gamming room.
You terrain set ups all look amazing so far. Amazing craftmanship. Thanks for sharing.
Another excellent video.
That one bearded guy is kinda cute
Great looking table and minis, thank y'all for sharing your fun.
Incredible Sets
Beautiful Vibe
Thank You
Great to see more Spectre. Curious as to how well the Empress miniatures scale with Spectre's own range of figures.
They scale very well. There are some images on the net search for spectre size comparison.
Agreed. If they are based and painted the same they blend seamlessly.
Fantastic table, and great report of the game, thanks!
Another good one! Always wanted to try Spectre Operations.

how does this channel not have more subs
Another fantastic AAR guys and superb layout! My new favorite videos :) Subscribed and shared happily :)
Hi can I ask were did u get all the men from and what men did u Rangers Marines. Can you let me know please, Sam for the bad guys appreciated.
The SAS, CIA, and Bad Guy regulars are all Spectre Miniatures. The militia are Empress miniatures.

@@tennoryu2794 YES! This rule set would serve that project well.
Where can i get that ospray heli
That was a 1/48 scale Italeri kit. It is widely available at Amazon etc. I beleive i found it at a Hobby Lobby on sale for 30ish dollars.
Great video. It would be cool to see a guide of your wargames room 👍
Ladies and Gentleman,...We got him.
What is the size of this table?
That compound looks familiar ;) ;)
This compound may or may not have been inspired by real world events,.....we will neither confirm or deny.
lol, as long as you kept the body of your principal target for evidence instead of throwing it in the ocean...@@LongShotWargaming
Don't know about anyone else but I'd like a real-time version of this
How do you factor in the plane crashing?
Why can't I buy the game?
I believe i heard the current edition of rules was discontinued, but they will have a new addition available soon,.....hopefully.
Please show how you prepare the table, your terrain is fantastic
Is your guys gaming space a store ?
It is not, just a basement.

The problem with your channel is that you dont do enough reports !...that was class.

Awesome!
Thanks!
Such a shame they’re going to stop selling the rulebook after the end of the month.
Hmm, I hadn't heard that. That is a shame. PDF's just are not the same in my opinion.
Print a PDF
You guys actually play or is it all staged for narration purposes? Good stuff.
Thanks! What you see is 85% game play. Sometimes things need to be shortened a bit or simplified for video purposes but the vast majority is exactly how the game played.
Militia are lacking one fundamental key weapon: RPG's / Explosives.
Yes, the SAS were lucky. One RPG and this would have been another game entirely.
An early gift for us?
Thanks!
Thanks for the view Andrew!
Beautiful Storytelling
Building’s quite Boring
Nice to See The lack of a Predator Drone
It Allowed The Cool Technical Scene
Do Ukraine
Need air support
Yes, even an M134 out the back of the Osprey would have been handy.
