I'm a RE fan but due to budget constraints I went for Avenger 220... After that when I drove my friend's RE 350, the difference was huge... Avenger was so smooth and comfortable in riding, I've drove over 105+ on few occasions but when I drove RE 350, 70-80 speed was not smooth and comfortable... Now I like my Avenger more...😅

I have observed that all 100cc bikes were and still are very sturdy , reliable, economic and efficient i.e. have great mileage. Then comes 125cc segment which has been taken by 100cc and 125cc gearless scooters. In our locality, people for smaller city 'short local' rides prefer scooter as ladies are more comfortable using Activa or similar brand. It is here Bajaj did not capitalized the vacuum created by exit of Kinetic which Honda Activa filled and was the only scooter for quite some time. TVS Jupiter has caught up since then and is a good scooter, but sales are less then Activa.
It is the 150cc segment that is now preferred by youths to choose a bike instead of scooter. Though Bajaj has relaunched Chetak, and there is Vespa too, I don't know the market share. If Bajaj has launched gearless scooter within a year of Activa's launch, it would have been a different story. Now It is a matter of choice of Bike over scooter for shorter rides.
Though bikes are great in terms of balance, road grip, stability, maneuvering, better control due to manual gear especially in rainy season and bigger tyres, scooters offer a big storage (dikki) under the seat and on the foot rest. One can 50-70 kg + loads on scooters like Activa, a preferred scooter as it was all metallic and so there is no need of replacing fiber body. One can happily leave the dent and scratches unrepaired 😃, especially of you are a job worker, small businessman owing small workshop manufacturing machine parts, or plastic parts which require to be moved to a few job workers before they are ready for dispatch. Scooters can be used by both ladies and gents.
Bikes are good for commuting longer distances, especially if one is travelling on highway and have to go down the road which is on a little lower level (2-3 inches lower) then Bitumin / concrete road. Climbing up the bitumin road is easier and safer in bikes due to bigger tyres then in scooter.
    To conclude,
100c Bike for commuting (except on highways) - preferred by those who wish to have low maintenance and high average.
125cc bikes - for those who need extra power and pickup - less popular.
100cc and 125cc scooters - Better for small distance travels - popular among ladies as they can carry groceries, etc easily and for job workers as they can carry loads of 50+ kg easily and climb over bridges easily.
150cc - most preferred segment for youths or those who travel on highways. They also prefer heavy bikes as stability is required while riding on highway. The choices are naked, semi-sports and sports bikes. Preferred by bike lovers those who wish to ride long distances.
150cc + segments like 200cc, 220cc, 350cc - cruiser bikes for long distance travelling. God for climbing slopes on hilly areas with heavy luggage. A choice of Bike Enthusiasts and travelers. Avenger is the only 160cc cruiser bike available. They need larger parking space and wider diameter for U turn.
Hence the sales depends upon the percentage of population preferring which segments. Higher cc bikes may have more profit, but sales are less. Their parts and servicing is costly as compared to 100cc bikes. Need to know which is the best selling segment. Most local show rooms are full of scooters, which 1-2 bikes. Some do not even have bikes for display.
Thank you for all those who managed to read this long rambling 😊
Also thank you for such analysis.

Bajaj is good i have V15 though it was not as successful as Pulsar but still no major problems I use it for city ride and to nearby villages (70 to 100 kms up and down ) , only problem is the use of plastic parts which wear out easily and vibrates a lot , while honda bikes do stand out after the test of time
Bajaj should not do cost cutting when it comes suspension and replacing with fiber instead of metals parts it decreases the quality,
Commuter bikes should be given some preferences when comes to parts and suspensions .

Imo we should talk about company's technological prowess. And that regards none of the indian manufacturer comes anywhere closer to japanese, German, us brands. Bajaj could have made big leap but after pulsar 220f success they stopped doing RnD ,degrade quality and start relying on Ktm. Same goes to hero & tvs they can only perform well under partnerships. RE though is different animal all they have is premium line-up, large capacity indigenously developed engines and good presence in developed market.

    • @izrael_gaming
      @izrael_gaming Рік тому +4

RE has been more relaxed in RnD. For 50 years they sold the same old push rod engine. It's only now in 2021 that their J series engines are coming out which are better than their previous generation but still far from reaching refinement level of the likes of Honda. It's just that the branding of RE is really superb. Not a fan of RE engineering but fan of RE marketing team.

Eliminator was not the final Kawasaki Bajaj motorcycle... that was the 2003 wind 125...it was termed as their world bike. And the engine was the ktec engine like the caliber 115. Personally i believe that particular 125 cc engine on the wind 125 was based on the eliminator 175 engine platform ( which is what the latest most affordable Kawasaki model in 2023, the w175 engine is still based on.).

    Bajaj need to improve:
    1) bike material built quality and fitting improvement
    2) give up DTS-i technology. Yes, it's high time they should quit playing with spark plugs like adding more n more spark plugs etc need more refined engine (iske liye KTM ka engineering support le hi sakte hai 🌚) ..... Currently if you see TVS and Hero, Their sports bike have overwhelming performance.
Bas ye 2 cheejey Bajaj improve karle to achha compitition ho jayega.
