Just a loch and a railway bridge and a story. You will never beat it. New York?, Vegas?.Forget them. Not even close.
ricky jurecki Spot on, even Disneyland couldn't beat this.
Because the viaduct and railway are historic. I never liked much Disney movies and New York is too crowded IMO. I would rather go to Scotland and visit the railway.
Been there many times before but couldn't resist coming back to this beautiful place. It's a must for anyone visiting Scotland.
literally the lake in front of it is the lake shot in the films and a bit further is the actual location that Hogwarts is in the movies.
And the island where Dumbledore was buried.
It’s a loch !
@@angusmackenzie5925 in English, it’s actually “lake”.
Hi Ali. Where is the actual location for Hogwarts?
@@displacedtrust4038 only wizzard know...If i tell u...just forget it
As a fellow Scot, I pass these views pretty much on a weekly basis
Scott Davidson View these trips on a daily basis, do you? Mr La de dah Scott Davison!
Uhm yes, I get the train back and forth for Uni every other weekend
Scott Davidson You're quite lucky I must say. All I really get to see here in Singapore are buildings, roads and some trees
Wat Hello fellow Singaporean! Even though Singapore is mostly buildings, I like our Bukit Timah hill and its surrounding areas (like Railway mall) and I think the Botanic Gardens has its own beauty as well :)
May I move there?
Scotland... Greatest country ever.
Thats why seven hundred and fifty thousand moved to England

Got to love a train journey to Hogwarts!!
Scotland is unique and differently beautiful.......my most favorite destination
0:57 oh, to have this lovely view on a hike
She likes him, she said she’s gonna turn him in to a frog….she is his princess in her world 😂😂
One if the best trips you will ever make 😎
Ok a few points corrected here.
That is not the Hogwarts Express, it is the Jacobite which West Coast Railways runs regularly.
That is also not a coach used in the scenes he is referring to as there was no table in the first few films.
Titanic 5972 it was also shot against a blue screen in Leavesden studios
S . Storumus yes, only exterior shots where filmed in Scotland, however some locations such as Hagrids where shot in Fort William.
@@neobe195 it actually wasn’t in Fort William, it was a few hundred yards down the road from a pub called the Clachaig Inn just outside Glencoe
Amazing Land and Sea bonded by train Aquaman would be proud along with Mr Harry Potter himself
Omg 😱 I want to go 😍😍😍😍
I wonder how crowded it gets there with tourists when a film crew isn't locking it down.
很棒👍,謝謝你的提供和分享🙏!
Beautiful.
It's not the same engine used in the Potter movies.
Jiskpirate the one used in the film was a GWR Hall Class
But the Jacobite is the sister train to it,
Same carts, same bridge,
ShipHappens same type of coaches yes, a BR mark 1. The midday train mostly carries mark 2s, they’re more modern. The locomotive is however an LMS Black 5, not quite the same as a GWR Hall.
@@cloudcraft7153 not the exact same carriages but the same viaduct
Also...you may of not noted....but they are using a second train for cut away shots, that is NOT THE SAME TRAIN!....Take a look at the front steam engine. It is totally different. lol As an extra footnote any steam loco to run on national rail needs to be licensed. I know for a fact that the second train they are doing cut away video shots is not. That is only licensed for pritive hertage railways. lol
I hear the Harry potter train is a replica of the one used in movies. This one isn't the actual one. Tourists pay a fortune to go on it and it's a replica. I recently took the journey but it was the scotrail train and it's stunning area well worth visiting. Great video which I enjoyed!
It's not a replica. A working replica would cost millions of pounds to build. This loco is a "Black 5" and has a lot of the "Hall Class" features. Hogwarts Castle in the film is Olton Hall.
to anyone who is not a trainspotter, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between a Black 5 and a Hall Class. I might be wrong on this but, I think 5972 Olton Hall AKA Hogwarts Castle is currently at the Harry Potter studio in London but can't run as the boiler certificate has expired.
Peaple at Scotrail say it's a replica and and not the actual one. I've asked a few who know it's a replica. The actual one from the movies is in England. I recently took the Scotrail train through area and it's stunning there.
@@bushcraftandastronomer.3775 tell you what look at the number on the front and google it. The people at Scotrail certainly wont be saying it's a replica. Do you seriously think anyone could afford to build a locomotive which would be allowed to run on the rail network. last steam loco built since around 1950 was Tornado. You are right its not the one in the film as i said that's at the studio and its boiler is out of test. The Black5 in this UA-cam video is not a replica unless you think a loco that looks a bit like the loco in the film and built in the 1930s constitutes a replica.
@@martynraynervlogs4820 The loco used in the Harry Potter series was a Great Western hall no 5972 Olton Hall. 5972 is indeed at Warner Bros studio tour on static display but it is hoped that the engine will one day run again when her owner David Smith is able to undertake the engines overhaul. The loco featured in this video is an LNER K1 no 62005, this was a class of engine that regularly worked over the West Highland Line in steam days. 5972 never worked over the West Highland Line in steam days as it worked mainly on the GWR network from London over routes to Bristol, Exeter, Plymouth, Kingswear, Cardiff, Chester, etc.
@@martynraynervlogs4820 The loco at the Warner Bros studio tour is the real engine that was used in the films. The engine in the video isnt a black 5, it's a K1 no 62005. Hall's never ran on the West Highland Line in steam days as they were used on the GWR network down south, the K1 meanwhile worked over the West Highland Line aswell as other routes in Scotland.
Wow. Is there any way a civil person could go aboard that exact train from London to where ever it's headed?
The train travels from Fort William on the west coast of Scotland to Mallaig a small port village.
You could travel up from London on a boring old diesel and you don't need to be civil but it's always nice to be polite :)
Ali CG i always though it would be fun to ride a steam train from london to that station used as hogwarts station which is in yorkshire and then up to mallaig. so very much the hole route
june1935 sounds like fun :)
The steam train is called “The Jacobite” and runs between Fort William and Mallaig. You can catch an overnight sleeper train from London Euston to Fort William, otherwise you need to take one of the regular Pendolino trains from Euston to Glasgow Central, and make your way to Glasgow Queen Street (it’s about 10 minutes walk from Central) and catch a regular train on the West Highland Line to Fort William.
Anyone know the hike they took at the start of the video?
Just follow the path underneath Glenfinnian Viaduct
@@926.repton bit late but thanks
Wow!!
That is only a Railtour Called the Jacobean
The Jacobite
I live in Scotland but I didn't go there but want to
Is it Donald or Douglas pulling the train???
The one pulling the Jacobite is an LNER Peppercorn K1 but the other one is the loco that Donald and Douglas are based on
My dream 😍😍
🇬🇧This is called the Scotland 🏴

why is the British accent so sexy?

I'm British and never thought it sexy.
But I came to the States and many Americans think it is.
@@HeatherLikesArt Only a British person would say this
This is not the Hogwarts express basis
It's the route that was used for the Harry Potter films though, the only acception being the first film as 5972 Olton Hall wasnt yet gauged to run along the West Highland Line. Filming therefore took place at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Goathland was transformed into Hogsmeade for the film.
The engine featured in the video is an LNER K1 no 62005.
Hogwarts boi
Wen man das vom Lehrer bekommt : 🙂
Who else is here for school work
As an Aussie I'm offended she called those things "beaches"
Well what are they?
No clue mate, but they aren't beaches
She means it a beach as in its sand and water. Please don't think Britain has only beachs like these lol. We actually have decent beachs. Just avoid Brighton and cleethorpes beachs. Oh and Blackpools sea water is horrible as fuck mate
Rikaby It is beaches since it contains sand and water, which is the definition of a beach. Not every beach looks beautiful or perfect but it's still a beach.
bre darden It is called a river delta. It's where a river meets the sea. Granule like sediments get deposited there which forms a mushy layer of silt and sand. It is far from a beach where the sand is dry and fine along the coast.
Where are The Potterheads?
I don’t know why they turn against JK Rowling.
I'm surprised the EBC even knows where SCOTLAND is, roll on indy2
