  • A HUGE "Thank You" to Tom Woods for believing in me and for supporting the build, the journey and the adventures that await! I am genuinely excited about this upgrade. There is a far greater peace of mind with less moving components. Plus the added durability of a bigger, more solid driveline should give way to longevity both on and off the road.
    Adios carrier bearings!

      Love to hear you taught your daughters!! My dad has always been supportive of my endless wrenching. He has all the tools and would lend a hand when I needed.

    Lovin the build! So jealous too, I got those low speed vibrations after my lift and it’s annoying. Keep up the great work also looking forward to seeing you back on the dirt bike.

    The "driveline" consists of the engine, transmission, t-case, driveshaft (s), differential(s) and wheels.
    What you are referring to as the driveline is just one component, a driveshaft.

    What gears do you have? Are you concerned about critical rotation speed?

    @robinlayman5068 Рік тому

    Yeah it sucks though cause they no longer make them the rear driveshaft was discontinued

    You gained reliability as you have eliminated extra universal joints and the carrier bearing.

    I wonder why a 2 piece was stock?

    • @BadassBrunette
      @BadassBrunette  Рік тому +2

      The 2 piece actually works phenomenally well on a stock truck, which is how Toyota caters their engineering. They know people modify them but more people leave them as is. "Don't fix what ain't broke". The 2 piece has worked for decades.
      Once you start lifting the truck and RPMs change is when the solid piece starts making more sense.

      @nef7939 Рік тому

      A two piece will have a higher terminal speed too. How fast you can drive with a one piece partially depends on your tire size

    • @Nessal83
      @Nessal83 Рік тому

      Two piece gives better ground clearance and higher critical speed. A single driveshaft has their drawbacks. A two piece piece is better overall for daily street driving.
