    Every single scammer should be jailed for life if they get caught. To make a deterrent for others. It has to be one of the most disgusting crimes on earth.

    11:06 People should avoid setting up 2FA through SMS, since it could potentially leave you vulnerable to sim-swapping attacks. Please use a dedicated 2FA authentication app whenever possible to mitigate such risks. Great video btw.

    • @westbccoast
      @westbccoast Місяць тому +4

      Problem is most sites don't support an authentication app, it's shameful and disgusting, especially banks. An authentication app just be the minimum standard.

      2FA means giving up a phone number, which can be sold, right?

    • @SamyueruHydeo
      @SamyueruHydeo Місяць тому

      @@eugenetswong Pretty likely, but most probably yes when the service eventually suffers a data breach, then phone numbers could be sold along with other datasets on hacker forums. 2FA apps are the way to go.

      Thanks for the advise. However, platforms that offer 2FA, only offer SMS security, nothing more.

    Reporting scams to Facebook often feels futile, as my reports frequently receive responses stating that no violations were found and the content remains.
    As long as Facebook profits from sponsored scams, these fraudulent activities will continue unchecked. It's crucial for the government to step in and impose fines to hold the platform accountable.

  • @galen__
    @galen__ Місяць тому +9

    Imagine if FB were ordered to fix this via a $100M daily fine until less than 0.1% of users are reporting being scammed, then an ongoing cost per user still being scammed.

    Thankyou, this is an absolutely brilliant series, I hope there is more.
    My best iPhone tip is to enable “Silence unknown callers”, (I’m sure other phones have similar), if you’re not in my contact list, that call goes straight to message bank, if it’s a legit call, they will leave a voice mail.

    So governments need to legislate that social media platforms can no longer have it both ways - huge reach with no accountability. They need to be held accountable for DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. Like UA-cam who plead it cannot be held responsible, while at the same time making millions from dirty advertisers.

    One thing I find missing here is the use of VPNs. While some VPNs are probably not safe and may steal your traffic information, it would protect you when using a public WiFi. Never connect to a public WiFi on Starbucks or else without a trustable VPN.

    I keep getting scam phone calls. Went on vacation out of the country for a few weeks and the first day I got back I Recieved 4 scam calls in less than 24 hours. Aura didn't help sadly cus it only screens your calls and sometimes scammers piggyback off of local phone numbers to bypass that. So hopefully delete me will work better

    DAGOGO if you make a second channel like a COLDFUSION twin, we will support you fully, as it took me months to find out you had a podcast not BASED on ColdFusion channel, i was honestly disappointed. SO change the infrastructure of your podcast, i just saw one podcast and you said I MADE THIS PODCAST completely separate from ColdFusion i clicked off and never looked back, WE LIKE COLDFUSION why re-brand a podcast separately FROM COLD FUSION and you dont even advertise it at the end of ColdFusion channel documentaries , you missed sucha a great opportunity for a thriving second channel and income, if u were surprised it failed thats why, we expected maybe a behind the scenes of how a ColdFusion documentaries are made, u fool and ive watvh every ColdFusion video im your fan just honest DAGOGO
