Im thinking of getting a metal G this weekend , but with the rubber strap , rather than all metal . I never used to really like watches that werent on a bracelet , but i do like the resin or rubber type now . Its funny how our individual preferences change over time .
You are correct we all have individual preferences but you do find people with the same preferences to yourself and I think why some watch makers to think about this and offer variants.
Maestro! I know you love the thin red line and the blue text and it surprises me that you don't have the DW5040PG in your possession! As far as 40th anni. my pick was the DW5040 and the MTG Solar Flare👌
oh I do like the 5040 but there are so many nice pieces that I also try to be sensible and not have too many but I suppose that is difficult to achieve.
if you want a MR-G square all rounder this is probably the one. Also the thin red line is cool. Imagine a gold version of this though perhaps Casio don't see gold in their MR-G ranges but now I say that they do include gold detailing.
Nice video! I also own the this MRG Square and really enjoy it. I really like the unique, subtle, duller tone of the titanium, compared to stainless steel, particularly because it contrasts well with the brighter polished bits of titanium. On an unrelated note, have you considered getting the MRGB50000r (the black with gold accents square, on the fluro rubber strap)? I know you featured it once in your visit to a G Shock store.
I've just been talking about the B5000R and I do like it. For some reason I wish it was on the rubber bracelet of the MR-G Frog so you don't need to cut it to fit. Saying that I still like it but think the cutting of the rubber strap is probably the barrier for me. I know it is a little thing but at these prices I tend to think very carefully.
I don't know, really I forgot, but I think someone reported a missing bezel screw or something like that, after some kayaking or something, which shouldn't be too hard for that G....and a result was a hole in the watch which looks rough, and probably a little hole in the wallet. To be honest, I don't think that's possible just like that (or in another words, without a DIY messing with the watch). good video, great watch
Hi question about the MRG… I’m almost ready to get one… how much bigger does it feel on the wrist compared to the Rubber Square variant I’m hoping it feels a little more robust and chunky. Can you let me know please.. or even better do a side by side video. Thank you 🙏
The MR-G Squares feel lighter when wearing compared to the GMW Squares that are steel. The rubber MR-G, think its the MRG-B5000R feels very good I have to say perhaps even better than the MRG-B5000D/B on the bracelet. They both feel very good so it is more how they look on you. For me bracelets always seem to be my preference but the MR-G rubber is good.

So I think the MRG silvers color is so so good … the brushed titanium finish is next level in design and for me, revivals watches twice as much.

Have you ever checked out the Casio Edifice range ? Theres a couple of Sapphire models with colourful dials and hands that look really nice .
There are many Casio and Seiko and other models that I want to see in the hand and I will as soon as I can.

Take your time to think about it. MR-Gs are cool but they do hit the wallet a little hard. They are super though.

Casio are good for replacing missing screws and repairs.. Just send to Casio repairs they do seem to be able to fix things.

I agree the GCW Carbon is missing but I am waiting for a positive display version.. hopefully..
