Joann is doing a thing where you get a paper bag with this yarn and you make a hat for St. Jude's hospital. They provide instruction but it's written out and I couldnt understand what it was telling me to do ( I was chain stitching it pretty much). This video helped out a lot!

You don’t have to cut the loops off when trying to make the string. All of the loops are held together with a small thread so if you just cut the thread you don’t waste as my co material.

Misreading the label right away is a huge turnoff but this video is admittedly much slower and more clear than Lion's own video (even with using UA-cam's video tools).
It doesn't "make 1 hat, 2 scarves, or 3 baby blankets." That's how many skeins you need to make those things.
Also, cutting the loops off at the end was horrifying. They're held together with a tiny thread to undo the loops so don't have tiny yarn scraps and chenille bits flying around.
To those here using this yarn for the first time: it's ridiculously easy to use! I crochet with #4 yarn and while this is roughly a weight of 7, I don't think I could crochet a hat with 7 weight yarn in the same amount of time it to take work with this. Once I got the second round to stop inexplicably twisting (take it slow and pull each loop through fully), the whole thing was done in under an hour. The hardest part was the end and even it's just closing holes and tying knots. I did drop a couple of loops, but this yarn makes it so easy to go back and fix those mistakes.
