in 2024, these were the three beds i narrowed my choice down to. nolah's donation to wildlife foundations just won me over! i've watched DOZENS of videos for each of these and this was the first time i learned about their contributions. are they still doing that?

The WinkBed has been changed since earlier this year and no longer incorporates the layer of microcoils. It's been replaced with a layer of air cell support foam said to offer better support and durability. Their website now reflects this change no longer mentioning the microcoil layer. Between these three mattresses I'd go with the Nolah Evolution Hybrid.

We've been going back and forth between Nolah and Winkbed. I know the Winkbed has a noticeable pillowtop, but the Nolah doesn't really seem to be that much different. My wife tends to sleep on the warm side, and while we're mostly side sleepers, we do shift around a bit during the night. Nolah has an offer that I haven't seen on other mattress sites. They'll take $189 off the purchase price (of a king, anyway) if you forego the 100 day trial. Full warranty still applies, but you can't return it "just because". That makes the price lower than a Winkbed. Decisions, decisions.... I have a feeling we'll wind up with Nolah, whether or not we take advantage of the no trial offer.

For my mother's preference because that's who in the mattress would be for she uses a queen size. I'm resuming with all of my knowledge of her sleeping preferences that the wink bed mattress would be the best pick for her Sleep Style. The three reasons she withdrew this bed include the soft pillow top the medium-soft option because she's a side sleeper and the double-layered coils for extra support in the bed for me the price points weren't a deciding factor because all the discounts make the prices reasonable.

I wonder what the average ship out/delivery length of time these beds have with actual buyers. I know that, from what they tell me, Wink Bed are handmade to order. I'm not sure about Saatva or Nolah. I ordered my Wink Bed 12 days ago and it's not shipped yet even though they say "generally" their beds ship in 7-10 days. This is my first online bed order so I'm not sure if a lot of these brands take a while to ship or not. Something to definitely consider though if you are needing a bed on the quick side.

IMPORTANT: Winkbeds no longer uses micro-coils in their design. They still use the larger coils, but the smaller ones have been replaced with a special poly foam. I am told, by the company, that the "feel" of the mattress is "pretty much the same" as the former design. This customer service representative said that micro-coils are a technology that is phasing out in favor of better foams.
    Take care.

@@petethehawk5186 -- I believe this change took place at the beginning of the year (to the best of my knowledge). So, at least a few months ago.
And, not that this should be an excuse but, to be fair, It isn't as though Winkbeds has been trying to call a lot of attention to the change. Their website still has a small section featuring a rating made, outside the company, which still mentions the mini-coils...even though we now know they don't use them.
Funny though...I always imagine somewhat of a relationship between these bed companies and the reviewers who describe their products. And, it's hard for me to imagine how such significant info could be overlooked. But maybe I'm wrong, and the relationships aren't that close.
      In any case, take care.
P.S. -- I feel it's only fair to mention that there are other reviewers, who have posted recent "updates" on The Winkbed", and they weren't aware of the change either. Maybe Winkbeds has just been playing it all "close to the vest".

No surprise I haven't received it yet, but after researching mattresses, for months now, I kept finding myself coming back to "The Wink". I think that I'm going to like it, but, if I don't, I can always get my money back.
I hope that, whatever you end up choosing, it works out well for you. I speak from experience when I say that sleeping on a lousy mattress (like the old one I'm replacing) is horrible. I've been "jimmy-rigging" the thing, for some time now, just to make it tolerable. If I didn't have a bed coming, soon, I'd be moving to the floor. `Couldn't be any worse.

I have tried the Nolah and the Saatva. The Nolah was comically unsupportive. It felt like sleeping on an air mattress than was only 3/4 full. Even get near an edge and you'd slide right off. I have never seen anything quite like it.
The Saatva was much sturdier (delivered like a normal mattress, not in a box). Night and day in terms of build quality vs. the Nolah, and a real step up from the low-end Sealy/Simmons/Sertas I have tried. It really is one of the more impressive looking and feeling mattresses I have seen. But....it was just too firm. No real sink, and more of a bounciness. Major shoulder pain, and only helped a little by the topper they sent me. Great customer service thus far. Unfort, I will have to return it.
My search continues. Just wanted to post this to warn people away from the Nolah. The Saatva could work if you are not a pressure-sensitive side sleeper. But if you anything resembling angular/broad shoulders, it's prob. not worth the trial.

For reference, the Nolah was Evolution 15" Plush, and the Saatva was Classic Luxury Firm 14.5"

I just got a Saatva soft plush, way too firm.

@@melli-yelli I would agree. Saatva too firm overall. I still have not found a mattress for me.

Giveaway: I would go with the Noah as it seems the pillow top is a little more softer since I’m a side sleeper.

Giveaway: Out of the 3 mattresses i would choose the Winkbed because im a side sleeper looking for a softer and more pressure relieving mattress. I love the looks and sound of that beautiful Nolah evolution but i worry that it wont be as soft as i would like.

Giveaway: I’m a side sleeper, but Saatva sounds really comfortable. I’ve done my own research on it and it seems like the old mattress I have currently. It looks like the typical bed I would go for. I’m a hot sleeper so Nolah sounds nice too with the temperature neutral. I’m not sure if I’m super into firm or soft, because I’ve had the same bed for over 12 years... so I’m not even sure what my likes or dislikes are. Price wise Nolah is too expensive for me. Considering that Nolah isn’t a cooling bed, the neutral component isn’t that exciting to me. If that’s the case I would go with a a real cooling bed. Saatva and Winkbed both sound better for me. Winkbed is for all sleeper types and I’m a side sleeper. If I had to pick, I would pick Saatva cause it seems like my type.

I am so, so disappointed. Based on a full year of fairly intense research, we ended up ordering two Nolah Evolution Hybrids (2 Twin XLs to make a Split King). I have Fibromyalgia with pretty intense hip pain. I am 5’5, 135lbs and a side sleeper. My husband is 5’7, 158lbs and a stomach sleeper. I ordered an “Ultra Plush” for myself and “Luxury Firm” for my husband. They are both so, so hard! There is nothing “pillow” about the top. I took a photo of my husband lying on the bed and there is ZERO sinking in. You can see how he just lays on the very top. When sitting on it, it doesn’t even seem that there is any sinkage. We have had them for 8 days and cannot wait for the next 22 days to pass so we can return it! The stitching on the top is so very tight that two of the “diamonds” are ripping…after 8 days!! On a scale of 1-10, I would rate these as 7-9. What also surprises me is the motion transfer. My husband moves a lot and the “bounce” through 2 mattresses is enough to wake me (a heavy sleeper). Now, the search begins again😭

We just got the Winkbed and like it a lot. The Luxury Firm has excellent back support while also allow side sleeping even for a burly guy like me. If you are like 160lbs or less you might consider the softer model. My only real complaint is that there is no white glove service offered. I would have gladly paid extra for that as an option. Hauling out your own king mattress and paying someone to haul it away is not what I would consider a part of a luxury mattress buying experience. It is especially strange that they don't offer than considering they basically have that if you decide to return the mattress. The Winkbed is quite heavy. While that is a good thing, you will need a couple of strong men or a good dolly to move that thing into the bedroom without too much trouble. Oh, and the promotional freebies they are offering that they value at $399 is all made in China and is quite unexceptional. Nothing wrong with them as a freebee, but I couldn't see anyone paying more than $150 out of pocket at most. The sheets are decent, but basically normal 300 thread count white sheets. The mattress protector doesn't completely encase the mattress. And the pillows are really better for sitting up in bed or propping your legs up than using them as sleeping pillows. Even after I took out at least half the foam stuffing (which they are designed to do), they are quite firm and bulky. But again, we like the bed and plan to keep it. It feels pretty much like something you would find in a 4-star hotel.

Giveaway: Another tough decision! I like that all of these are made in the USA, and I like the hybrid/pillow top construction. I love that Nolah donates to wildlife! I’ve had my eye on the Saatva Classic for awhile, so I think I’d go for that.
