Weekly update playlist is such a smart idea!

Thanks! I’m hoping that it will really be valuable once I’m monetized to have the journey documented to hopefully help others ☺️

You’re doing great with your channel. I’m one month in with my channel and can only dream of getting the number of new subscribers you are getting! Thanks for the ongoing encouragement your videos provide.

Thanks so much! I know how discouraging it can feel! I think that's why so few people stick with it. I like doing the weekly updates because it helps me to stay focused and accountable :)

Oliver is funny because he is either in my lap or like "see ya, I have things to do."
Thanks so much for all of the encouragement! I love the fresh start of the New Year! Best of luck and continued growth for you as well!!

Thanks for sharing! Have you thought about doing how-to videos? Like for example I’m really bad with SEO and remembered you had a website for your business. If you’re any good at that subject I bet more people besides me would want to hear about it. Like I’ve got the website but have no idea how to optimize my product listings for that. Anyway keep up the great work!

I do have a website! I can definitely touch on that! That’s a great idea! I’m going to start recording more small business content so that’s perfect! Thanks as always for your great support!

*Oliver doesn't wanna be part of this vid, he not in mood. ((Goes to eat and sleep.))
    That 1 of 10 moment followed by a 10/10 :s Eeeeeeeep!!!!
You've accomplished so much in such a short space of time.
Almost 10% of watchtime and almost 30% of the way towards that $£$ from the YT :)
    It's quite inspirational and motivational.
When I subbed to you, about 2 weeks ago, thereabouts you were on about 110 ish subs so you've doubled that, and then some!
Your positivity and just general good vibes will help you go far. Slow and steady wins the race right!!
Admittedly, I've not really done much with my channel recently, creative block and IRL stuff be hard XD
(My main plans are to make Star Trek lore videos, massive Trekkie haha. Episode reviews, as well as a more off the cuff loose format 'Podcast' style conversation with my friend about some episodes.)
Maybe over the Xmas/ new year time I can script record and edit something together. (Want to do a review of a Trek movie called First Contact, and the episode that followed it up called Regeneration.)
Livestreams can definitely be watchtime boosters - That being said, I haven't streamed in over a year haha, but when I did, I did recut it into a longform vid and privated the main stream itself, because it was embarassingly filled with tech issues XD 'A good video is born with an edit' haha.
I hope you're feeling better and that the snow isn't too bad - Snow hasn't really hit my part of Scotland yet (Near Glamis Castle!! : D A very royal historical place! ) But it's been heavy windstorms.
Wow that was an essay!! Hahaha.

Wait, what?! Scotland?! My husband and I visited London and Windsor last June and loved it! We are hoping to take another trip this Summer and go to Scotland!
You have built such a good subscriber base! You should keep going! I know how hard it is to get motivated sometimes though. I would think there is a huge group of Trekies out there who would love your content :)
      Happy Holidays!!

Hi Natalie. What equipment do you use to shoot your videos? I'm alternating between my iphone and laptop. I don't have professional lighting yet :)

    • @NatalieHamilton2024
      @NatalieHamilton2024  3 години тому

Hi!! I have a Sony Alpha camera - but you absolutely do not need anything that fancy. I think lighting is probably the most important thing to think about when you are first starting. I would recommend a simple ring light you can set up with your phone. Or if you want to spend more I use the Aputure amaran COB 60d light with a light box. Here is my Amazon Affilate link that lists everything I use or recommend! :)
