Jimmie is like “come my kids, learn from the master”
ha, johnson didn't teach them nothing....
@@Steventhe2nd Jeff Gordon taught Jimmie Johnson and now they're both teaching the young guys
@@kylebushisaass5896 if anything, Jeff taught them BETTER!!!!
cause Jeff's no washed up hasbeen, unlike Johnson
@@Steventhe2nd yeah I rather be taught by Jeff Gordon than Jimmie Johnson
@@kylebushisaass5896 I would be taught by Jimmie Johnson because he is a 7 time cup champion
Now I know I'm getting old. I remember watching Rusty Wallace, Dale Earnhardt and Terry Labonte race in the early 90's. I remember Richard Petty retiring and Jeff Gordon starting in the 24 back in 1993. Here we are, he is interviewing the 4 drivers from the team he used to drive for. Wow time flies.
Same here. I haven't really been too much of a fan since the 90s but JG was my hero. It was always my dream to race (anything) but just wasn't in that environment. UA-cam has been pushing the Radioactive videos so I've been seeing a lot lately. It's crazy how much the "landscape" has changed. Most of the names I've never heard of. All the new rules and race format. The cars are now EFI with a digital dash?? It's almost foreign to me. But one thing hasn't changed...the sound, that sweet sweet sound of a small block at 8500 RPM. There is just something about it...
@@turbo2ltr jg is my hero as well i really wish he wouldve won the championship in 2004, 2007,2011,2014,2015 he wouldve been a 9 time cup champion
Im a lat 2000s/early 2010 kid i got to se every one of jimmies championships
@@j9vlikz683 me too my grandpa would always watch and I grew up watching Jeff Jimmie Tony etc and now they are all retired (Jimmie on Sunday) it’s sad to see
and now JIMMAY is retired too
Grandpa Johnson will keep an Eye on his new drivers(Sons).
Yep now that he's gonna retire after this season another young guy will take over
@@kylebushisaass5896 so will I
WHOS GRANDPA JOHNSON
@@jonathanfunnell4167 Jimmie Johnson who played as the three young drivers grandpa
He left after 2 years
Time flies, I remember Gordon breaking into the scene with the 'Rainbow Warriors'. Now he's interviewing the people with his team. I feel ancient. Good stuff guys, good luck this season.
Okay but William going to school with Jimmie would be hilarious tho😂
Theoretically, they could be his kids
Andrew have been thinking that since it was announced!
Hahahahaha so true
Who’s here after chase won the championship and Johnson retired
Not me
Me it was sad to see Jimmie retire but i'm hearing he wants to come back part time
Mickey championship
I do I watch that championship race when Jimmie Johnson retire
I was happy when Chase Elliott won the championship in 2020 but I wish Chase Elliott wins the Daytona 500 someday in 2021 he came close got 2nd when Michael McDowell won
Great interview, Jeff. You are an excellent broadcaster. Team Hendrick is going to have another winning year!
Nope looks like Kevin Harvick and his team are having a winning year
Clint Eastwood Harvick is doing great but I predict Jimmie Johnson will win the Championship. We shall see. We are going to Bristol!
We'll see. Hopefully the Camaros will kick in later in the season rather than next season.
I'm a hendrick but I still have to say HAHAHAHAHAHA
Ray Kelly only they're struggling this year
Gordon roasted Jimmy with the age thing lol
So glad to see the three young guns all racing consistently great now
William Byron and Alex Bowman are my two favorite drivers! I even have my own fan club... It's embarrassing because we only have three members ;3
I'll join! xD
William is my favorite driver then Alex!
Im team Alex but tell em where to sign up
I don’t care how long ago this was I still come and rewatch it
awwwwww William was so adorable when he kept smiling 😄💕
Love this team, William, Alex, Jimmie and Chase!
JG the goat!
Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson have tought these young men a lot I bet they are very blessed to learned from two legends
Jeff Gordon learned from Dale Sr
Jimmie Johnson learned from Jeff Gordon
Now Chase William and Alex learning from Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon
Chase Elliott is the NOW the 2020 NASCAR cup series championship
Really hope they(Hendrick drivers) all do well this year
Problem they are having is finding speed. They seem to be behind in this new Camaro. It's not like when the COT came out in 2007. Hendrick drivers won 18 races that year.
2:47 I'm trying to imagine a Dale Sr, Bobby Allison, Bill Elliott even a Jeff Gordon doing something like that.. Well, it wouldn't happen. Nothing against William though, I'm pulling for him.
now Chase is nascar champion. William Byron won 4 races and Alex Bowman drives the mythical 48 car and won 7 races
I use to love NASCAR in the mid 90s
Jonathan Fernandez I still do because I'm a real fan :)
Giovanni Tirado good for you. Being a real fan makes you a better person? You should be thankful drivers like Gordon bring in an audience from the urban/suburban areas of the country to watch the sport YOU love. Idiot.
Jonathan Fernandez yes it does make you a better person because it shows that you have real passion for the sport. It's shows you can stick to something and stay with it. People who left the sport of Nascar never loved it in the first place. And why does it matter what audience drivers bring into the sport? As long as there are people watching who love the sport then I don't see anything wrong with it. I could care less about what kind of people are watching, just as long as if there is people watching. And trust me I am thankful that there is people watching because without them there is no Nascar.
Giovanni Tirado you ever play nascar 98? That game was so fun
Jonathan Fernandez yes and 99
Jimmie is just watching his little children grow up so fast.
, Jimmy Johnson has been my driver since i started watching NASCAR, he is retiring this year and since I will need a new driver, Alex will slide in that place.
Jimmie Johnson "fan" but can't even spell his name....
@@teagansoto7851 don't start
Jeff could've still easily been racing right now. Maybe would have gotten another championship
Jeff definitely deserved at least 1 championship in the 2001-2015 timeframe.
@@frederickschulze8014 I agree 2002 2007 2014 2015 would've been a 8th time champion
@@kylebushisaass5896 The only Championships he would've won without the Chase are 2004, 2007, and 2014. He would've been a 7x champion and would probably be referred to as the greatest to ever do it
I was just amazed when Jeff Gordon retired that Chase would be in the 24 then two years later William goes in the 24
William really making that 24 look good I'm still thinking it's jeff Gordon in the car
Watching this in 2021
Great team ! Penske and Hendrick!
Nice confrense guys✌️👍
Chase Elliot is my all time favorite racer and Hendricks Motorsports is the best!
So happy he's back racing tomorrow hope he wins
Number 9 isvery special to me also. I was born on the 9th day of January. My car has number 9 on it in honor of Chase Elliott.
Now chase is a champion
Jimmie Johnson from this point on has been a father figure for his teammates
Hendricks team is crazy right now with these 3 and Larson.
Chase Elliott and Jeff Gordon are the only two in this interview with personality
Must not of met Bowman
What about Jimmie?
Love you Chase.
Hendrick Future looks bright. I just hope NASCAR brings back the 2014 package and does away with the chase. Just give the winners more points.
Im A Hendrick Fan
Same here sence 1994
That was my team. But I am through with NASCAR for life. May you have many victories
making a dream come true no matter if you are nobody or some simple kid , wish i had this chance in my country
whats that song
You deserve being in the HALL OF FAME you're kids are adorable
New team dynamic is "Well we might win one or two races in the next 5 years, if we're lucky."
This comment aged poorly
Looking back at this now bowman lived above expectations by making the round of 12! So he did better than Earnhardt. Chase finally won and 3 times to. And jimmies been great help to William this season.
I’m from the future. This team is looking pretty good as of now.
Well.....it worked! HMS now has Larson, this team could double their championship titles and blow the competition out of the water!
This is odd. The future leader of Hendrick Motorsports interviewing 3 younger driver he may be in charge of one day, and another driver who he has an ownership interest in his car already.
Whoa me and chase have something in common we both like the number 9
All the kids are beating Jimmie lol
M A Spencer except Byron
Manuel Alvarado give Byron a break he’s new
megaduffpuff 24 agreed
Still are
Bunch of cute new drivers.
Go Bowman!
The fire was there from Elliot 2 days ago!
These kids have some BIG shoes to fill."..
Crazy to think minus Jimmie this is still the lineup for HMS
Jimmie is a good mentor to chase alex and William whoever will take the 48 in 2021 I know chase alex and William will do a great job mentoring the next member of Hendrick motorsports
Jimmie is a longest serving hendrick driver since 2001 2nd Charlotte Oval race.
Actually he started full time in 2002. He was successful right out of the gate because they gave the 48 team half of the cars run by Jeff Gordon in his 2001 championship season
Robert Benoit which is rare now a days
What wasn't mentioned was the question, "How can we cheat more without getting caught"?
Mr 7x..... Chasin8
Jimmie has opened up a new generation glad he got to team up with Chase William and Alex. Now the 3 of them have a new leader and that’s young money Kyle Larson
Jimmie and Jeff, and Chad Knaus are basically Going to end up running HMS when Rick eventually loses the fight with Father Time. And I doubt he will have any concerns doing so.
Just to let anyone know if they want to go RC car racing at the world famous Thunder Alley in Beaumont California it is one of the best outdoor Southern California RC track come by and have fun
Do you know what brand of car William ran? Where and when?
jesse balderas im big into rc racing but i live a very long way from there
2:09 Kyle Busch???
Monie Nielsen byron drove for kbm in the truck series
If I was Alex bowman there is no pressure driving Earnhardt jr’s car
Jimmie is like the father
Tell Jr I size hi please
Go Chase elliot
2020 will have young guys after Jimmie Johnson retires
For Hendrick
How much do you think drivers hate having to get in their fire suits just to do interviews
Tell dale earnhardt jr I said hi please
Kassie v im a jr fan too and i got to meet him earlier this year
Haha I watched Jimmie from 2003 so
so what..?
To bad that jeff gordon retired
And dale jr and kane
Ya
2 of these drivers have won a race that counted since this video was made. Neither of these is Jimmie Johnson 😔
Now 3
Darn good thing Bill Elliot didn't drive Indy cars- track record 300 mph? Ha! He rox. Mr. Cool.
rc cars are cute!
Hendrick needs vets to develop the car before they get these young kids in the car that can't relay info back to the team and engineers as efficient as a drivee with experience.
Jimmy looks like an old man with these young kid drivers. Don't care for wuzzy car any more my new name for Nascar is wuzzy car races .o
Who’s watching after nationwide dropped Alex
Isn't chase Eliott 24 not 9?
Grow Verse nope he’s the 9 car now
he changed his nuber to 9 witch was his fathers number Bill Eliott
It sucks jeffs number is being used
It's a good thing Jimmy is retired so that the young Hendrick guys don't feel the pressure of having to perform to impress Jimmy 🤔🤔
3 Years later Chase wins the championship
I’m From the future Jimmy Johnson retires in 2020
these drivers now are embryos
Gordon made hendrick who he was as he watches it slowly crumble
6 wins this season is not crumbling, especially when no other Chevy team comes close
Elliot won the gosh darn championship
Who's going to tell him?
The team sucks they have only one win in 2018
SIR
3 wins actually.
I still don't like chase Elliot
Too late he has won the championship already in Phoenix
That's perfectly fine as a chase elliott fan
Chase Elliot is going to be the next danica all he has done is crash or get in people way on the track
False cause chase actually finishes better than Danica and should’ve won like 8 races throughout his career already but bad luck was in his way
@@terryk1233youtube lol, ikr
Look at him now huh who do you like Denny Hamlin or Kyle Busch
I find it upsetting that everyone is calling Jimmie a grandpa and a senior like... epescialy from Jeff... you retired cause you couldn't win... Jimmie stills wins
Drew A Rockwell Yeah so calling a 7 time champion a grandpa cause he's the oldest driver on the time isn't disrespectful to him. And Jeff left cause he couldn't win... he had back issues since 2013 -2014 yet stayed and kept racing only to learn his time is up. He left before he'd get replaced... so did Dale
Drew A Rockwell how'd he get there? What took place in the race in which he won the spot to the championship...
JRrocksnascar1 Jimmie has actually regressed quite a bit if you look at the statistics. Outside of the three wins last year he was pretty abysmal, 11 top tens and only three top fives.
JRrocksnascar1 "You retired cause you couldn't win" says the Jr. fan lol
You do realize Jeff and Jimmie are friends right? And Jeff is a legend, get off his videos if all you're gonna do is whine about inaccurate accusations
In NASCAR it's his dad's number he just gets to use it. Sure it's hard to live in the shadow. However should be an honor kids kinda thinking better than he actually is. That's what they get when they start racing and sperms with Rich Mom and Dad's
