Did you know Vigan was declared one of the Seven Wonder Cities in the world back in 2014? 😍 Have you been to Vigan? If not, will you be adding this city to your list?!
Any private citizen can sponsor an online survey and title it "7 Woinders of the World", " 7 Wonders of Nature". This is the case for this " dubious" award. Initiated by a certain Max Weber. There is no research of secondary literater.e There is no scientific panel to back up the list. It is disowned and not recognized by UNESCO . And it is most likely won because Philippines is renowned ss the text capital of the world, and the biggest users of FB and social media, notorious for double / triple count on their online voting using various owned accounts.. in fact many awards are just invented and are marketing scams. The sponsor is making money off the digital traffic of Filipinos. Just like the influx of so many foreigners putting up travel blogs ab out the Philippines to het more views and subscriptions.
Did you know that Vigan City was saved because of love? Vigan is a city saved from the damages of war because of a romantic love story between a Japanese and a Bigueña (term for a Vigan woman). A Japanese military commander fell in love to a Bigueña and because that Japanese commander didn't want his loved one left struggling and experiencing a bad life because of the damages of a war, he betrayed the Japanese command for the sake of love. Romantic isn't it? That's why the old houses of Vigan are standing still and it was saved a romance.
Kwentong barbero lang yan. Tiga Ilocos Sur ako at walang katotohanan yan. They just invented that story to romanticise Vigan. Mga gullible and dim wit people lang maniniwala sa kwentong yan.
I missed Vigan. It has been a long time since the last time I went there. I definitely go there again and I will not forget to take home their Longanisa.
Kalessa ride at night, very romantic. We did it during the day, the vibe is very different. Hello from your Mexican/American friend living in the Philippines 🇵🇭 🇺🇸 🇲🇽 😊
3:15 hotel Luna boast it's most expensive grand sala in the north. They have some of the most pricy paintings of our national artists. I wonder why you didn't included it to be shared in your video. I think the hotel itself is worth featuring as a separate vlog
I love following all ur adventures. Were gonna be visiting la union this month its my husband’s hometown. Ive been to vigan before but i wanna go back, we might have to stay in that hotel too, it looks nice! We are also from california and we will be staying in pinas for few years. Def will be looking at all ur recommendations. 😍
Fun fact: vigan is a mixed of spanish, chinese, native influences and even mexican. Not solely Spanish. Thank you. I live in vigan so what I observed mostly from tourist is that they come here to just admire the spanish and forgot it's actually a mix of this and that. The facade is heavily spanish but the windows are asianized. The tile rooftops are actually influenced by chinese and the use of wood etc are asianized. There is a jar factory that survived and dates back to chinese trading era. Pipian is a popular food found only in vigan which was brought by mexican. You should have tried it.

Nice vlog! I was there few weeks ago and glad you enjoyed it! Please take pride pronouncing the "Calle" - Kal-ye, in my knowledge, majority of Filipinos knows how to pronounce it right.
Im a foreigner, and I still say to this day, Philippines doesnt get a fraction of the tourism it deserves, it is criminal that people listen to the overexaggerated lies and myths of negativity about the country as a deciding factor in whether to go to Philippines or elsewhere in Asia, one of the biggest myths is when it comes to food so many bs lies told about food; I love Filipino food just as much as food I like anywhere else.
