As you can see from the comments, most people root for you Infiniti but you must start producing world class products again. CVTs and outdated Infotainment/interiors will not cut it. My 1st car out of college was a G37 then a Q50. After that I switched to Genesis. You guys can and should do better.
Infiniti's design has always been impeccable
Yes! I always think they are the nicest cars on the road... however their interiors were severly lacking... I hope this is a new era for infiniti starting with the QX80 redesign

I’ve been waiting for this announcement for years. I have a 2008 with a bit over 100,000 miles. Today BMW was kind to enough to bring me an X7 to drive. I felt claustrophobic compared to my Infiniti, but there’s about $2500 of work to be done on my car & I promised that at the next big repair I would relent & buy something new rather than waiting on the Infiniti upgrade to come. After the BMW rep left I found this vid. So happy & know it will have been worth waiting on.👍🏻
With the vr35ddtt. Considering that the vr30 can get 750whp on upgraded turbo the same is expected for the vr35
Wishing Infiniti success. They have always amazed me with their unique designs. I've always felt like infiniti's design was the best amongst it's Asian peers(lexus, acura). Im hoping Nissan let infiniti shine like Hyundai did with genesis.

I still have my 2011. I love her inside design and powertrain but after 10 years, seat leather@side is starting to be tore, dashboard cracks. 😢
That’s Infiniti number 1 problem, dashboard. I’m enjoying my qx56 but my dashboard is crack and make the interior horrible

V8 is out but I don't think I'll miss it. Looking forward to upgrading my 2020 to this 😌
There VR engine is pretty solid, you just have to change that oil. I have a friend with the Q50 redsport, oil changed every 3,500 miles and always maintained the rear diff and did transmission fluid drain and refill’s every 25k miles. Ran excellent no problems and pretty quick. Only use nissan fluids tho.
Nissan and Infiniti are bouncing back strong as the original innovators of the automotive world. Recovering from the corrupt CEO they are doing great with new designs and powertrains.

This car represents a new start for this company. The qx60 is beautiful but misses the mark on tech and drivetrain and sportiness compared to the competition. The innovative days of the g35 and fx are gone. This finally looks like a product that could compete with any vehicle in its class, grand wagoneer, Escalade, navigator, even the gls/x7/Range Rover…finally some tech that matches the current market…screens actually appear larger than the competition with a new ui that hopefully spreads to other Nissan and Infiniti models…would like to see a hybrid as a top of line spec.

Дизайн интерьера, и экстерьера отвратительный! V8 больше не будет, и это тоже минус! V6 такую машину не потянуть - ресурс мотора будет очень низким! QX80 уничтожен его создателями, по требованию глобалистов, в мифической борьбе за экологические нормы! Жаль, что QX80 канул в лету! Очень даль, что infiniti больше не делает хороших автомобилей! Автомобилей с интересным дизайном, интересными двигателями! Infiniti умер!

What’s the 3rd spacing and cargo space behind it look like. Wish they made a longer version for big families. Right now we only have the Escalade and Navigator if we want more room.

@@nwezetx1 why not. The QX80 is is built on a truck platform (nissan titan) and is about the same size of a Tahoe. So if Chevy could build a suburban from the silverado and tahoe then Nissan/Infinity and Toyota can do the same. These aren’t based on Heavy Duty HD trucks. A 1500 platform is good enough.

Impressive engine numbers.
Great looking vehicle and looking very promising before the unveiling. I hope no standard panoramic sun/moon roof, let that be OPTIONAL and not be forced onto those who don't want a panoramic roof. Also hoping the gear selector/shifter is not a push-button one, love traditional shift knob that can be grab since they also give more interior presence to the vehicle.
for the mitsubishi triton, is it much better for an SUV size of a pickup truck
You’re really going to compare a Mitsubishi engine with a Nissan one? All VR engines are in the top of its class, this car will have the vr35ddtt, keep in mind the GTR has the vr38dett.

Cancelled Volvo EX90 for this. But there better be a hybrid option for this modern age.
Looking great but where the impressive looking wheels they had on the monograph?
They should have made the GTR engine an option to compete with the RST Chevy and the Srt Durango
at 450hp and 515tq it has more power than the RST and almost as much HP as the SRT. Plus its turbo, a few bolt ons and a tune I bet it could make some good power. The RST needs supercharged LT4. That be real nice in the Tahoe!
Put the 9 speed automatic in your Q50 and update the interior. Make a hybrid variant, rebirth your Q70 as a shooting brake wagon with the same engine and platform. Make your products that will make your money to fund your BEV and hybrids, Nissan/Infiniti you can do it!!
Now can we have a beautiful sedan w the same upgrades? Please don’t make one w the curve on the back that makes it look “station wagonish” and get rid of the chrome. The Q50 is still one of the sexiest sedans on the road but the cabin and transmission need upgrades.

Put this powerplant in the Q60S Redsport with the nine speed auto. Why did Infiniti have to kill the Q60?
Competes too much with the GTR. The q60 already has the same HP limit of 750 wheel horsepower on stock internals just as the GTR.

Gas will always be better than ev. Keep in mind Nissan created the vr38dett in the GTR that has been modded to 3500 wheel horsepower and it’s just a v6. Gas can always be modded with the addition of more air to acccompany extra fuel. The engine in this car will be the vr35ddtt, considering that both the vr30ddtt and vr38dett can achieve 750whp on stock internals the same is expected for this engine. All VRs are well supported by the aftermarket something NO ev is capable of doing.
@@2seep We are only at the beginning of modern EV tech. Gas has had a century. And for a luxury vehicle, I want low NVH. After being in an EQS SUV, it was absolutely serene and power delivery was instant and effortless. Going back to Mercedes has offerings felt archaic. I can't imagine going to another gas Infiniti would be any different.
It's nice to see Infiniti is using V6 Turbo engine but they should have used a hybrid instead as I think this engine will suck gas like a V8

Need more power. You are 5 years behind when it comes to power giants. In order to have any chance competing in SUV sector you need more power. A lot more I am thinking 550hp at least. This will give you a head start and would bring new generation to the Infiniti. Will not be worth it at 450hp and that weight, you will again be the slowest suv only segmented for middle class families that don’t want Toyota or Honda. Need a lot more power and much better suspension. Current suspension is so floaty and not stable. Lots of changes needed to make this suv thrive in the segment of suvs market
Let’s be honest anybody who supported Infiniti before has moved over to BMW who actually makes innovative and exciting cars

Infiniti's greatest weakness was always the bland interior. They charge sky-high prices but give you interiors you find on entry-level basic sedans.
This looks to be changing on the qx80, and I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.
TTV6…. Too bad. The numbers don’t matter. The soul, sound and feel of the V8, along with the reliability is what makes a V8 great. Guess I’ll find a prior Gen.
The GTR has a vr38dett. A twin turbo v6 and is the current quarter mile record holder on original body at 3500 wheel horsepower. All VR engines are amazing ones. This car will have the vr35ddtt.
Unfortunately I’m not sure this will sell well in the USA. Failing CVTs, massive lack of quality interiors/infotainment, you guys waited too long to be competitive… people will have a hard time choosing this over a Lexus or Acura.

@@KhrissyDaDon Lots of people want sedans. The manufacturers THINK nobody wants them so they stop selling them. Honda sells a shitload of civics and accords. Toyota has no problem selling corollas and camrys. The list goes on. But not all americans are mindless SUV driving soccer moms that fall for the "I need more room and ground clearance" gag. The Luxury SUV market is a tough market. When cadillac, lincoln, mercedes and BMW dominate the market, a slightly snazzier nissan is a tough sell. Make me a GTR sedan on the other hand.... I will pay for it now. Call me when its done.
I hope everybody in your family or circle own a sedan, for you to be talking like that! SUVs literally are in demand and is outselling sedans, automakers go based off what the consumer wants and the consumers want SUVs

A little too late... I am actually surprised this company is still in business. Terrible interior and immensely outdated tech. The Q50 aka G37 Sedan has the same body since 2014 lol. Half of their lineup has been shut down...

Nissan and Infiniti have one of the lowest consumer satisfaction ratings in the auto industry. Their build quality is just horrendous and after sales service to fix those issues is non-existent.
