Don't know if you still have this monitor, but I noticed in the review you noted you can't adjust the color temperature or what not in the OSD. According to the manual, you can make those adjustments using the HP Display Center application, making adjustments to the already existing presets. Did you look into that at all? Just curious!
I have a question, I was trying to update the firmware but somehow it says something is unable to communicate with the device. So which port did you connect to the USB? I have seen a lot of people having the same issue
I think you should mention the USB-C power delivery which is up to 140 W on this monitor, which might motivate that bulky power supply a little. :) This is really nice for my work MacBook which wants up to 96 W. But if the KVM switch doesn't work well I can't use it as planed which will be switching between my desktop PC and the MacBook. :( I hope the KVM gets improved in a firmware update.
@@tonyhuynh6789 I ended up getting the Philips 32M2N8900 wich has a KVM and USB-C. Not sure how much the max power delivery via USB-C is though as I've seen numbers saying both 65 W and 90 W. But as long as you don't run the MacBook really heavily it should be okay even with 65 W I think (but 90 W would be best, or even 96 W which the Apple Studio Display has). But can always connect the MagSafe 3 power cable if needed. :)
I'm going to put this out there who had the original 1440p HP Omen 27in ips montior when it was in its prime and got excited for a omen oled... for ips i tryed a bunch and back then it was the best for me so i have high hopes for this as im rocking 1440p 34in alienware oled witch i have no complaints but going for the 4k upgrade

This is exactly what i was looking for since this monitor is on a sale at Best Buy often with like $200 off retail. Do you know if the monitor offers Dolby Vision support and also the reason for the massive brick is due to HP offering AIO USB-C PD port of 140 watts to support their newer line up of Transcend gaming laptops that also offer the OLED displays integrated. I own the Laptop for work and they require 140 watts of power minimum which is where the 140 comes from for the panel.
Thanks for watching! I don’t know about the Dolby vision support, sorry. The 140w power delivery could definitely be a reason for the bigger brick, that is more power than most other monitors put out. Wish it could have been an internal PSU, but they’re already battling heat output on these QD panels.
Maybe HP should market this as a power brick that comes with a free OLED monitor! Aside from the monster power brick, and the less then stellar stand, I like it. I suspect many would put this on their own monitor arm anyway.
Thank you for this review it’s the only one on UA-cam
Anywhere tbh , I been waiting for a review.
4k 240hz will be kinda nuts when the 5090 comes out
Great review. Thanks man.
Thanks for watching!
I don't mind the giant power brick as it might indicate quality IMO. Do you have a link for this monitor at Amazon?

The LG OLED one looks so clean like there is no branding in front if you put it in a monitor mount.
Except...The LG has the shortest warranty of all these OLEDs, Only 2 years as of now versus the 3 year on all the others

Did you get one for your MacBook? I am tempted to get an OLED for my Mac, currently using dual Apple Studio Display.

How do you Vesa mount?

This or Samsung G8?
Hi thanks for the fast review. The purple tint go? Have better treatment for your windows light for your graphics design?
I’m working on a comparison video for the LG WOLED and this QD OLED, you’ll find out before too long!

It has no VESA support at all, which is a bummer.
@@darkzerk7 It actually does. 100mm x 100mm according to the spec sheet.
@@RedGreene Weird. Other reviewers on US retailer websites have shown back photos where the stand is fixed.
@darkzerk7 I think it just looks fixed but isn't.
Forgot this monitor even existed 😂
Hopefully they get cheaper after CES
Stay away from Omen products my guys. Both my screen and top end PC died right after the warranty
