- This is a two day old wash n go. i just used water first. then olive oil, then eco styler gel. I've been natural since april 2015.

It's a looser texture so it looks bigger/longer. Mine was about the same as hers and hung past my ear within under a year too. My little sis has hair down her back, but her fro shrinks up to the length of mine even though mine is actually shorter lol

Also I think it's the thickness of the oil that makes it come out as a stream. I have the same issue :( the particles just don't disperse as easy because the oil is thicker and heavier

hair gotta be moisturized frequently so it doesnt dry out and break

love it when fellow naturals use a comb or brush. the ones who say finger detangle or "I haven't used a comb in a year" will have your hair falling out. It has to be combed or brushed separating it with your hands is NOT the same
it doesn't haveee to be combed or finger combed. Once again is just what works for you & causes no damage. My sis's hair is like this & she only combs on wash day.
Hair needs to be combed even if it's just wash day. Wet hair needs to fully be detangled getting rid of loose pieces and tangles. Once dry, do what you do but to keep from matting or loose hair pulling out healthy hair wet hair needs a wide tooth detangle

I think I've watched all of your videos at this point. I think I am at the point now where I am rewatching them. You have inspired me sooo much!!!! I am doing my big chop tomorrow (at the salon because I don't trust cutting it myself lol). I have extremely bad heat damage and I have colored it so much over the years. I just wanted to let you know how much your journey has helped me. Thank you for sharing your journey and what you went through and how you felt. I can relate to you so much on a lot of things. Victoria P girl you need a friend. my homegirl only charges me 80 for my box braids. these shop prices are stupid ridiculous.
How about crochet? I'm not the best Braider, but it doesn't matter. I spend about 20 euro on 3 packs of hair and it lasts me 6-8 weeks. I take them down, wash my hair and redo at following weekend. While wearing crochet, I wash my hair ever 2 weeks & deep condition my braided hair. (Put the crochet hair in large braids when washing to protect the curls and to get easy access to your braided hair. Repeat this process for one year, and you'll see amazing growth! Even just for 6 months (colder months). So you can enjoy your growth in the summer months.
Honestly do them yourself...it's annoying but soooooo easy if you just try

Their water is prob not as hard as many places here in the US that makes a huge difference too. Water and humidity play a crazy role in hair.
jackseve Definitely the water Okinawa has some of the oldest people in the world. They have water that comes directly out the side of a mountain and hundreds of people go there to fill buckets. my hair, skin and taking showers all you need was a drop of soap it lathered so well.
