    Hello Monika. I like your videos. Polish is a very tough challenge, but you do a great job in helping to understand / pronounce / memorize. I'd love to have you as my teacher 👍🏻

    So wołacz and wołać are pronounced exactly the same?

    • @alejandroazul3186
      @alejandroazul3186 17 днів тому +2

      Not quite the same, since the digraph "cz" is pronounced slightly differently than "ć"! When pronouncing "cz" your tongue must be positioned against the roof of your mouth, whereas "ć" is pronounced by placing the tongue at the back of the upper teeth, likewise "t" in English, which is too an alveolar consonant. I believe Monika uploaded a long time ago a video on the basics of Polish pronunciation, make sure to check it out. Dorota, another Polish teacher on UA-cam, has also a video explaining the difference between the two sounds !

      @@alejandroazul3186 Thanks for explaining. It's hard to hear the difference when Monika says the two at 0:38.

    Great explanation as always, but I won't like the video in light of some of its contents, like saying "oh my God" or "Jesus" when not actually addressing God or Jesus. This is taking the Lord's name in vain and it's a sin.
    "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." ~ Exodus 20:7
    "Nie bierz imienia Pana Boga twego nadaremno; bo się Pan mścić będzie nad tym, który imię jego nadaremno bierze."
    "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom" ~ Proverbs 9:10
    "Początek mądrości jest bojaźń Pańska"
