I have been looking forward to the review on the 116515LN, this is the next time-piece on my list. What a beautiful time-piece. Thank you very much for a great informative review.
I just tried one of these on at the boutique. Beautiful. Very tempting.
Great review as usual Tim! Never understood the claim of a 40mm diameter on these Daytonas. A quick measurement with the calipers will show a number just under 39mm!
I have one, thank you! By the way you have the best delivery of all watch reviews on UA-cam.
Thank YOU! Enjoy yours! :) - WatchBox Team
A beautiful piece
I have one. Great watch
Top watch!
The dream.
I have a question Tim. You mention at the end of the video that a vertical clutch chronograph movement will not suffer from indefinite running of the chronograph. Does that apply to all such movents (Omega 1861 for example )?
Okies Selur Generally, yes.
Lateral clutch enganges a second gear train by sliding one gear into place along the frst gear train, often not immediately interlocking, but sliding/jerking into position. As you can imagine, this causes grinding of gear teeth and can affect both sets of gears in the long term.
Vertical clutch has the second gear train on too of the first, so the friction of the two plates making contact starts the chronograph, without teeth having to slide/grind against each other. Hence much safer long term.
Hope this helps and wasn't just totally unnecessary and long haha.
Tariq York Thank you so much, it very informative :)
Hey Tim (or anyone willing to help!)
What is meant by "milled out" when talking about clasps? Every time I try to research it, I end up on gun forums discussing AK47s. Not quite the answer I'm looking for haha. Any help?
according to what ive learned in my high school D&T lessons, milled out means they take a chunk of solid metal, then they use a rotary machine with a sharp-edged tool that keeps turning, to remove bits from the chuck of solid metal in order to form the said object into the desired shape. search "Milling (machining)" on wiki to find out more
the actual watch looks way better than the brown and black dial
I'm deciding between a similar model (black dial with pink sub dial) vs the white gold Oysterflex (116519LN). What do you guys think?
Which is more popular?
white gold, I believe.
If its glass is gone what can i do ??? Please do reply!!!
wowoowowowoowowowowowoowowowowowowowoowow cant believe someone is selling this already
Super review! What is the approximate weight of this watch?
Elesey E. yeah i wanna know too..
I'm also interested

To me a gold daytona should have a gold bracelet, especially for this money. The oysterflex should continue to be included in the package as its a good idea and practical, but when you're at this level, I think the bracelet bling should both be expected, and delivered by Rolex.
If you see this watch on the wrist of someone in the wild you would know it's A $20 something thousand Daytona. Whether you see value in it or not......you know. That's what you pay for at these prices or higher. If it represents well, it's worth the money, hence carrying a fair resale market value pre-owned. No different than putting down 12k or the premium 17k plus on the new stainless steel Daytona. Not paying for materials or movements of any watch alone......you pay for the totality of what it represents (generally speaking).
i like it. i think since im a bit OCD with my scratches and ding, this rubber strap would be better for daily wear if u want to flex your golden watch on a daily like myself
A successful young man looks better with the rubber flex. The bracelet makes the person look a little too old
Honestly the watch should come with both bracelets for this money!
The osterflelx on it makes it a daily wearer as it doesn't scratch like the gold bracelet does. So wear it with the gold bracelet when your stepping out to a nice function otherwise leave the osterflelx on it 80% of the time was
Do you do layaways!!!! LOL
I’d be embarrassed to have a gold Rolex on a rubber band-it’s just such a Ukrainian thing to do.
I have one. Great watch
