I've been wearing my Rolex Daytona 116518LN for the past few months now and its quickly
become one of my favorite pieces in my collection. I was unsure about the oysterflex strap at first..
It grew on me as I started to wear the Daytona more often, flexible and comfortable in any weather.
Here is my full review of my experience with my Rolex Daytona Oysterflex over the past 2 months.

This color combo, imo is arguably the best looking Rolex ever made
That dial is just so damn classy, elegant, with a touch of sport to it. Flawless.

You are so right i got the call last month for a RG Daytona with the blk diamond dial it is so comfortable. Plus you don’t worry about scratching it either.

One thing that trips me out on this watch is the fire that comes off of the smaller screw down crowns in the sun. Almost diamond like.

That is a really beautiful watch Vinny, and I agree it may be the best looking Rolex made. I wish Rolex gave you the option to get the Oysterflex on the steel Daytona. I think it would look fantastic on the panda dial.

I am not big fan of yellow gold watches, but I have to agree this Daytona looks amazing.
I wish you could have told us a little bit about the sizing of the Oysterflex band. You obviously cannot change the size of it, take links out, etc. So how does that work?

Hey Marc, when you buy an oysterflex your AD will size the rubber bracelet for you. Generally Rolex has 3 sizes that come with the watch Small/Medium/Large, the size that is best closet to your wrist is the one your AD will will put on the watch. Then there are micro-adjustment notches by the clasp to further size the oysterflex bracelet to fit you. Hope that helps!

Vinny, nice review. may I ask do you put shielding films over the watch to protect the 18k gold from scratches? thanks.
I personally do not. If you are worried about lots of hairline scratches it may be a good idea to put a protective film over the piece, gold being such a soft metal it scratches extremely easy.
@@vinnysingh7485 thank you for the response! I didn't as well, but some of my friends are suggesting me to do so. however protective films on the watch makes the watch looked dimmed.

Great watch, until you have to change the size of the strap. My AD ruined the lug and the bottom of the case where the spring bar attaches to the lug.
So nice! I’m considering trading my Hulk and OG Batman for this one, but I’m not sure it’s a smart move. This watch looks insane tho, definitely the best looking one in the entire collection imo

How many millimeters is your wrist?
I'd over all (at MSRP) have the white dial 116500ln, but that ain't going to happen I am sure... THAT said, with the grey market prices, if I *can* get a White Gold, I might as well go that way! I am not a fan of yellow gold, though this does looks amazing! For me, again, it'd be the exact same combo, just White Gold. INFACT, I think the subdials are far better than even the SS versions!

The watch looks good. My only reservation is paying all that money when you have a cheap rubber strap. Without the gold bracelet Rolex are making an absolute killing on these watches. If I was buying this watch I would want it with the gold bracelet which when you see them in the flesh they look incredible.

I think you can buy the oyster flex bracelet from RSC but make sure you are sitting on a chair before you ask the price.
In relation to oyster flex, it makes the watch much more wearable, lighter, and unscratchable. It is luxury product, so you can’t measure the value based on material used. I personally think in gold Daytona range, it is the best looking one and extremely sporty and practical.
Does the oysterflex have glidelock?
Nope. Only dive models like the Submariner, DeepSea etc.. have glide locks. Daytona has 5mm easy link adjustment instead.
@@vinnysingh7485 A little disappointing, but not a dealbreaker. Wait, you're saying even the Daytona bracelets just have easy link? If so, also a let down. But with a watch like yours I wouldn't wear the bracelet anyway. Seriously looking at a Daytona on rubber for my 30th. I'm still not sure if I'll be comfortable wearing gold. But that's my personal mental hang up. In reality I assume most people would never look twice at it (which is what I want, haha).

the only thing that kills the watch is the rubber bracelet. rubber will not last like steel, not sure why they put rubber on the higher end watches.
Because it makes it look sporty and the contrast is cool.
Steel bracelet looks silly on a gold watch. Personally i think it looks very sporty and also practical. Did you know that rubber per kg is more expensive than steel???? I think we should measure the value of the watch based on material value otherwise we will be very disappointed.
I had one sold it, hated it to small for what is going on on the dial. Just the regular Daytona
