I'm not an extreme overclocker or an e-bike enthusiast... but winners tend to continue doing winning things, and I'm here for the passion you have. Love the channel Vince, it's just no BS real content.
Now this is something I can relate to somehow, stretching out electric motors on RC cars and mini 4WD cars. Rewinding the armature for more speed, forcing LiPo on what would otherwise be NiCd/NiMH ESCs, maybe cracking it open and mod the thing...the worst that could happen is it blows (there is a fuse anyway) or goes...until it don't because the stock drive gears on a TT-02 chassis is plastic! Atleast nowadays you won't really have to do those things anymore.
I am a Sur Ronster watcher, I remember that KINGPIN had these cool e-bikes laying around in his lab. I search for his channel, to my surprise he is banging out video's on this channel! VERY COOL!!!
I don't have an e-bike but I find the content fascinating. The only note I would make on this video is the audio for the music. It's jarring to have some and then cut off unexpectedly
Love your videos! Been aware of you for a while, Love your format. Thanks for not yelling at the camera like almost all the other video makers out there! See you understand how modern mics and technology works.!
I wonder if he has thought about building from scratch. Just starting with a bare frame then adding every single part with exactly what he wants/likes best. Would be a really cool series. It probably actually would be way cheaper too with the import fees and trouble getting the bikes. Could even probably get a custom frame fabricated in country cheap than importing :) or at least close enough to make it worth it. I would love watching a ground up build especially with experimenting.
hey KP, great to see you pumping out more content! At the end there when you were giving throttle to the motor, why was it rotating reverse? I know nothing about e-bikes 😅
Hey Vince do you know whats just as cool as E-Bikes? Safety classes, get you some. When you blew on that de-burred bar I cringed so bad. You don't want metal shavings in your eyes. Please wear some glasses. Other wise great video, loving the content.
I bought an electric moped myself but suffice it to say, as an engineer, its left me wanting. Already found a replacement motorcontroller and going to be installing that soon too. Only thing I'm currently looking at is what maximum discharge current the battery can handle, no specsheet on the battery or online, so have to wait for the manuf to reply back.. So much more fun than messing around with an ICE though. Do you have recommendations for aftermarket discs and calipers for mopeds?
@@The_Noticer. Love it! Tons of fun for sure right? For mopeds…hmm..not sure. I just got some heavier EMoto brakes for this bike from Lewis finally, but they are all mtb/emoto.
hello wow that is a nice workshop :D I am also thinking of buying the e ride pro :) you seem tall. How tall are you? and how you think the ergonimics will fit me ? I am 6 foot 1. I guess the riser bars and stem are something to look for. thanks
Do you only ride in the day? I thought that headlight would have served a purpose if night time riding or for road safety legislations where a head and tail light must be fitted.
Yah only ride at the daytime, so I removed it. Otherwise its actually a nice light and it came with a switch which just sounds normal lol, but surron actually does not have. The light on surron just stays on with + ignition.
@@Cam.Klingon It increases the torque and power significantly. The stock controller is limited, but the 72v battery on eride pro can handle a more powerful controller.
@@Cam.Klingonstock controller just stops at 12kw. This one goes to 15kw and the torque ramp is insane using the same stock eride pro battery. The difference is DRAMATIC. We have been toning it down last few videos, I agree we went a little crazy there haha :D.
Perfectly customized "KP-Bike"
Next one should be painted blue with a gradient to white, and some NOS bottles. Wouldn't that look sick? :)

Man I gotta see that in action. Cool bike dude.
You should definitely do a collaboration with one of the big bike companies one day. Would be great to see a KingPin e-bike
The bike looks so sick! =O
I think it'd be interesting if you could one day make a video on maintenance, mainly how you go about cleaning etc. =)
Enjoy the ride homez!
