Don’t forget plenty of USD for guide/host tips if in Argentina!

Good stuff for sure. One thing ill add, with the waders, me coming from alaska i dont like the super thick heavy waders, even breathable. I prefer the lightweight waders for sure. It can get pretty hot down there. If its a wet day then layer up underneath.

How do you bring your camera/video gear?

Do not have much experience transporting professional camera gear down there, but packing everything in your most rugged cases and checking them for the flight is probably the best way to go.

not really, they do have, but since you are in the middle of nowhere, why not to have some.

I just got back from Patagonia and checked my gear. Have you had any issues with carrying your rods and reels on? I worried about them the whole time.

No issues yet, at least not with our crew or travel customers. Investing in a great carry-on rod/reel case can help add a little peace of mind. Definitely feel your pain though - the gear worries always seem to make those international flights feel even longer!
