Okay, I am new to the sxs hobby so this may not work, but looking at your angles, would cutting a 3 inch hole in the top of the airbox then running the pipe straight up work? Seal off the factory hole with a plate. That way the console wouldn't have to be cut. Once again I am new to this stuff
In general, I do not recommend taking this machine in deep water. It did not like it for long periods of time. The air box itself is not sealed well. It is not geared appropriately for mudding. What you are describing is how most people do it and it will work for a quick dip but it will not be 100% waterproof
Def not good in the rain or splashing through mud. You'll be amazed what gets stuck up... Just more pooping e to clean.... I do like the SB snorkel elbow. Looks better than stock like you said it's weird fit itself.
Hardest part about driving a YXZ real deep is knowing where your RPMs are once the
exhaust and gauge cluster go under water.
Was waiting on it, I run a spectra 3in cone filter on my talon for a pre-filter on the snorkel.
For noise?
Nice work dude
great video love your content

@@MudPuppyOffroad thanks 👍
Nice work, where did you find the elbow to adapt to the intake
From a particle separator kit called and ordered just the elbow

I like how you say you'll be amazed as if I haven't snorkeled a hundred four wheelers this worked great
I’d be concerned about it drawing in a healthy amount of dust when in the right conditions. Forget about loosing flow
This thing already utilizes a two-stage filter I also don't ride very dusty conditions
Most new sxs have two stage filters , and the snorkel facing backwards is better than forwards
@@jessieestock9142 most? Please enlighten me this is the first one I've seen with two separate filters...
@@MudPuppyOffroad fair enough
Can am defender ???
What tire and wheel combo did you have on your talon r when your buddy flipped it abt a year ago?
