Straight to the point, thank you! Quick question! You had me intrigued during your implementation of motion blur and other plug ins, utilized in video. Can we achieve these visual interest via Insta 360 Studio, or does it have to be Final Cut PRO? Unfortunately I'm subscribed to Premiere PRO.
Glad it was helpful! Yes, you can add motion blur in the Insta360 Studio. You can also get motion blur effects for Premiere Pro, just have a look around online :) Hope that helps!
Great video and I found these ways are much easier than others. It did the tricks by saving energy. May I know does this method suitable for insta 360 ace pro?
thank you so much for the video, silly question, whats the correct position of the lenses, is one lense facing the intended subect while the other lense facing the opposite side or should both lenses be in the direction of the intended subject like a bubble eye goldfish?
Great question! I usually have 1 lens facing the intended subject so any stitching lines from the two cameras don't interfere with my shot :) Hope that helps!
Hey Nick, do you have the camera oriented in vertical or horizontal position? I see that there is a horizontal cage that you can buy and since the video here is in 16:9 horizontal, I wanted to ask this question. Thanks!
I had it sitting up vertically; since it's a 360 camera it doesn't matter how you film it because you can change the aspect ratio to whatever you need in post :)
No one talks about the In Camera Settings when they post tutorials i dont know why. Did you use Shutter Priority, Auto, Manual? How high was the shutter speed if manual etc. thank you for your video.

Hello and thank you for the explanations. Can you tell me what software do you use for video effects after having carried out your processing on the Insta360 software. thank you for your reply
Nick, I see a lot of recordings with X3 and I'm disappointed with the final quality. However, looking at this footage, it seems much sharper. Is this due to the configuration or do you have any editing tips? Even this example of yours has great resolution... any tips?
Good question, I've heard this from a few people. One thing would be to set the bitrate to high in settings. This gives you a small boost in quality. The other thing is to make sure you don't zoom in too much when reframing. It's 5.7k footage but that's for the whole 360 degree fov so if you zoom in on a small part of that image it will be lower quality. Final thing is make sure you shoot in lots of light. The X3 doesn't do as well in low light so I wouldn't recommend shooting with it outdoors after sunset. Hope that helps!
Hmm, I haven't tried this in Prem, but I got the motion blur effects from Motion Array which I'm sure would have some for Prem. Unfortunately Motion Array isn't free though, so not sure how much help that is sorry!
Great video! When holding the camera do you face the target with one lens, turn the camera, or do you keep the camera straight and not worry about the stitch line?
Thanks! I'm conscious of it and do try to gently turn the camera. But I've found it's more of a problem with close objects so I don't stress about it too much :)
Yeah absolutely, that's a great way to do it. Rotation won't change the quality as long as you export in a decent bitrate. I like adding Final Cut into the workflow so I have a bit more control over the motion blur setting and the color grade, but you'll still get great results right in the Insta360 Studio app.
Do you leave it on auto exposure or fixed in manual mode? I can never work out if it’s better to raise the shadows in darker periods of the Timelapse ‘journey’ or not.
I’ve found manual gets the most consistent looking results! But then I’ve only really done most of my hyper-lapses in environments with consistent lighting. I reckon just experiment and see what works for you!
thank you for this video .. but have you tried to increase the speed and add the blur effect in the Insta360 studio app? do the results come out same ?
Good question, if you're going slow enough I think it would work! If you're going full speed you probably won't have enough frames captured to be able to get it looking super smooth.
Hello all, i have a problem, when i make the video whit GoPro Reframe on premiere everything is ok, but when i link the clip in after affects to add the cc force motion blur, it lose all the reframe attributes, i've tryed averything to get rid of this problem, but it seems impossibile to solve it. Anyone else experience this problem? It make me go crazy
@@NickKendallThank you for replying. I was wondering if there was something limiting the photo timelapse option because everyone on youtube chooses this video method. I understand now that it is due to ease of use, not quality.

Nice vid, just bought the new X4 and wanna try out this feature. One question though, where can I download some motion blur fx? I'm using Premiere 😁
Trying Googling some free options, otherwise Motion Array has some :)
@@NickKendall thank you! 🙏🏼
Thank you 😄
No problem, have fun! :)
Can you add multiple tracking segments in a long video clip?
Hey Nick, do you have the camera oriented in vertical or horizontal position? I see that there is a horizontal cage that you can buy and since the video here is in 16:9 horizontal, I wanted to ask this question. Thanks!

awesome video!!! i always wondered, how high do you have to have the 360 above you to get those like these?
I was just using the standard selfie stick and held it maybe a foot or two above my head :)
@@NickKendall thanks for the reply, thats awesome :) you make it look so easy to edit hyperlapse, might just be enough for me to click buy!

I'm using Final Cut Pro! :)
Good day sir. Can I ask you what is your editing app in your X3 in your computer? thank you. Watching from the Philippines.
Good day! I use the Insta360 Studio app and the Final Cut Pro! 😊
I recorded a standard 5.7k with 30fps and the moment I increase the speed it’s getting me a blurry video. Am I missing something here?
Great..thanks
No problem! :)

Do you have any recommendations on good drag-and-drop motion blur effects for premiere pro? Or would you just recommend using After Effects instead?
Hmm, I haven't tried this in Prem, but I got the motion blur effects from Motion Array which I'm sure would have some for Prem. Unfortunately Motion Array isn't free though, so not sure how much help that is sorry!
Great video
Thanks for watching!
Where do I get those motion blur add on’s ? I use filmora for my editing software
Thanks for sharing , I’m going to try those 😁👍🏼
I used a motion blur pack from Motion Array! Not too sure where you might be able to get something similar for Filmora. Have fun though! :)

Hello, is it worth to use insta360 desktop to do both motion blur and rotation
I guess for rotation we may loose less quality?
Thanks

@@NickKendall thanks but adding the tracker and stabilization was smart move to make your footage look better i will try this next time for sure.
Hi Nick Can you please tell me the other software you are using after the insta 360 studio Thanks ❤❤😉😉
Hey mate, the other software is just Final Cut Pro :)
@@NickKendall Thanx Man ♥️
No worries, have fun! 😊
Whats your motion blur plugin name? (in FCPX)
Motion blur plugin please
hi bro. do i have to find out the fuction that DIRECTION LOCK ON/OFF?
As long as you’re in the normal video mode you should be good to go 👍🏼
Bang menurut mu insta360 One RS 360 atau insta360 X3. Mana yang kualitas video paling bagus
Hey How ayer bro, i just want to ask you , where can i download the editing program for the 360 Studio?
Good mate, how are you? Just head to the Insta360 website. They have it available for free download on there.
Setting output?
Hy dear… which Motion blur effects do you use?
It's actually a motion blur pack that I got from Motion Array! :)
@@NickKendall many thanks… but if i don t wrong it is an effect and not a title, really?
Would it be similar process in DaVinci resolve?
Yep! Definitely would! You can even add motion blur in the Insta360 app.
hi bro what settings for ur x3 u used to that time lapse?
Just the standard video mode on 5.7k 25fps. :)
@@NickKendall Hi Nick, how about the exposure setting? Auto or manual?
Thanks and lovely hyperlapse 🎬
@@eugene.n Manual will give you more consistency, it can just be a little harder to get right. I usually use manual :) And thanks!!
So you take a video and not RAW photos?
Correct! A lot less work in post :)
@@NickKendall and a lot less dynamic range.
Nice
Will I be able to motorcycle through and get the same results? :)

how is your quality so good/?? i shot 5.7k 30fps and the quality of my hyperlapse is bad
Hmm what looks bad about yours? Are you shooting in daylight? How much zoom are you adding in the Insta360 app?
@@NickKendall it was haze not daylight.... hmm the zoom was auto by the app...i think thats why i had so much noise...i can fix the zoom manual?
Melbourne! Subscribe. Good vids
Let's go! Thanks Pete! :)
Why video instead of photos? The higher quality would be achieved using the photo option. The video one only gives limited quality.
Photos would give you better quality, however this method is simpler and a bit easier since there's less steps involved :)
@@NickKendallThank you for replying. I was wondering if there was something limiting the photo timelapse option because everyone on youtube chooses this video method. I understand now that it is due to ease of use, not quality.
Premiere Pro/After Effects user here. ....was that motion blur effect rendered in real-time or you jump-cut ?
From memory it may have been a jump cut! But the render I think only took maybe 5-10 seconds. Final Cut is the way to go I reckon 😄
