Originally I had 1TB HDD that was filled very quickly especially in games, editing programs and there were also multimedia and documents. Originally I had 1TB HDD that was filled very quickly especially in games, editing programs and there were also multimedia and documents.
I added a 3TB HDD to games, a 2TB HDD for programs, 1TB HDD with files and an SSD for the operating system but I was thinking of getting a higher capacity SSD for certain heavy programs that I want more massively rapid and recently I got an hdd 250 GB changed for ssd to a laptop, although I could use it externally if I can put it on the desktop that would be much better
But I do not know how to identify how many hard drives I can install or if there is any limitation how can I solve it (for example, I do not know how to know if the power cables will reach me from the power source or space saidt sata is bridge of the video or space said, etc)
This is a good question first you must check SATA port's available in your motherboard. Some mother board have 4 SATA port's that's two sata ports for low speed HDD and other two port s is high speed when you are using above 5th gen mother boards like professional use ATX type motherboard have 6 stata port's that type motherboard have you can connect 4 SSD 2hdd or also connect 6 hard disk in some motherboard like gigabyte ,astrok , asus rog strix ect have 8 sata port's so that type motherboards you can connect 8 SSD/hhd and also it available motherboard storage I called NVMe cards that can expand your storage more than 40tb 👍
Then check power supply really that's not a real problem because new all gaming or editing pc coming above 500w SMPS you can connect 7 hhd or SSD at this power supply below 500w you don't put more than 3hard disk it damage your pc slowly
