Yes! He is a treasure. He developed his own technique of singing from very early on and didnt comply to the traditional methods they taught at music college. He resisted his teachers and said he would rather stop singing. It would take away his joy of singing. He has a mind of his own and stays true to himself. Please react to his own compositions like Qi Tian, New World, Madhouse, 7 Personalities ( all from Singer 18 and 20) or the recent Flower of small town.

Hua Chenyu is a brilliant singer and composer. He's really famous in China, won many singer of the year awards in the last few years. He arranged this song for the competition, but you may listen to some of his own compositions like Equal To Heaven or Seven Personalities, he has hundreds of brilliant songs now! Thank you for reacting to this incredible artist, Hua Chenyu. He is a wonderfully gifted composer/musician...a very unique and versatile artist. His lyrics are often very deep, poetic and the emotions he displays in his music are extremely strong. He is basically a rock star but he can handle so many different genres, often combining different genres within one song. To truly understand him, you need to see multiple performances, since one performance will not tell you all that he can do.
Mr David Foster on 11th OCT 2019, posted this on his weibo (China Facebook), " I officially announced HUA CHENYU is now one of my favourite C singers! Check out one of my favourite HUA's live music video, I have no idea what the lyrics is abt but it still got me goosebumps. I like how HUA is so emotional in performance. When he started the 1st note, I knew He Owns It. He owns the stage." ---David Foster was referring to the song “Child”.
Please continue to react to more of Of Hua Chenyu's music. He will continue to surprise you. Any songs from Singer 2018 are good (Nunchucks, Qi Tian, Fake Monk, Ordinary Path). Glad you discovered HuaHua, he's one of the top composers/musicians/performers in China at the moment, never fails to convey his emotions. Reactors often comment about how articulate he is and they can understand all the words. HuaHua is from Hubei and went to Wuhan Music Conservatory. This is his perfect performance, a song he rearranged. As per the rules of Singer 2018, singers could only perform two of their own songs during the season, the rest had to be covers. "Child" is composed and performer by Xi Lou. Dimash competed in 2017, HuaHua in 2018, he was runner up to Jessie J (but HuaHua arrived at episode 4), HuaHua also competed in Singer 2020 which he won. You are on point, he sings with his emotion. This is a cover song, but all of his song in Singer 2018 were specially chosen, if you react from his first song, there's emotional journey that he wanted to potray. For this song, he deliberately fasting for two days eating nothing but mineral water just to kept his voice as clear as possible. He's a great singer/composer from Wuhan, China. He's known for great versality mixing genres and dramatic stage performance. His first song in Singer 2018 is Qi Tian.

Dimash joined the show in 2017. Hua participated in 2018 and 2020. This song "Child" belongs to Singer 2018. This show is 100% live, and it invited proffesional singers in many places to compete with one another. The results lied on audiences' hands.
The song "Child" was written by Xi Lou, and Hua did rearrange it to better suit him.
In Singer 2018, Jessie J was win no.1 and Hua placed no.2. In Singer 2020, he won the first place, becoming the youngest King of Songs ever. He is really talent.

I think Hua Chenyu mentioned that he was from Hubei province! I’m not sure if I remember right though. I think in the middle of the song I suddenly recalled and said “Hubei!” after contemplating your question for a while 💀.

You are destroying the flow of the song for your viewers. As soon as we get ready to connect with the song and singer, you have to stop it and offer your thoughts and opinions. Take notes as the song plays and then recap what we all would hear. Great song. Great performer (my fav). Poor reaction video.
