    You are the only person on UA-cam that shows those reflections when using the black pro mist filters, were you able to solve it? I feel the same as you.

      cant fix it its baked after shooting the problem is the both glass on lens and filter the light bounces . only happen shooting light or super contrast shot with a light source . but still could ruin footage

    just shot a outdoors day event (lowrider picnic) using A BLACK PRO MIST FILTER stacked with a ND filter. These really improve the visuals big time. I shoot with a D3200 Nikon Crop Senor DSLR and 35mm kit lens.

    Thanks for this video!😁 Definitely helped me to decide to go towards the 1/8.
    Apparently there is a regular pro mist also. Not sure if you know the difference between the two?🤔

      no problem after deliberating i think 1/8 is the safe point

      Black pro mist affects the highlights more but tends to leave the shadows where they are, whereas promist (no black) slightly lifts shadow roll off too giving an ever so slightly flatter less contrasty look

    What's the exact purpose of the shaky hand-held camera?

    Clearly the water splashing differently. The rest is light blooming.

      I don't get why that other person left such a useless and. negative reply since it's not like the brand name was everywhere on the video or something. I believe the brand is Tiffen who makes the Black Promist's

    Your examples show exactly why I don't like pro mist. It makes more sense to simply soften in post. I don't like the glow, it burns the highlights.

    • @KC2Lucky

      Eugenia Loli ironically the reason why I like the pro must filters. Having that bloom and glow effect is exactly what I’m looking for. Kind of like cinestill but on steroids.

    • @EugeniaLoli
      @EugeniaLoli 4 роки тому +2

      @@KC2Lucky Yes, but cinestill only has that look just because the layer that neutralizes the effect was removed, in order to fit in a photography film capsule. In reality, film doesn't bloom all that much.

    • @NoeticInsight
      @NoeticInsight 4 роки тому +2

      @@EugeniaLoli Film does do that actually. Not still photography, but motion film. That's why Cinestill blooms, because it takes motion film and puts it in a reel that is able to be used on still photography camera. In order to achieve the blooms in photography that motion film naturally has. 16mm especially blooms.

    • @EugeniaLoli
      @EugeniaLoli 4 роки тому

      @@NoeticInsight Yes, but not that much. Do more research about cinestill and the part that they removed, which creates EVEN more blooming than normal motion film.

      You would find that in someone situations it works quite well and in others you do it on post.
