A tribute to the 1970s evolution of the P Bass, the Squier Classic Vibe '70s Precision Bass embodies the aesthetics of the original and produces massive tone courtesy of its Fender-Designed alnico split-coil pickup. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5"-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets as well as a vintage-style bridge with threaded saddles. This throwback Squier model also features 1970s-inspired headstock markings, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.

i had coffee in a caffe about a year ago and there was a home band played on that caffe, as bass player i straightaway noticed that bass sound is very good. Its round and fat and blend perfectly with drum. I went closer to stage to check the bass player and he play 70s classic vibe squier bass
I bought the GC Special Edition Squier '70s Classic Vibe Precision in seafoam green
I agree completely with your comments
Best playing P I've ever owned
Upgrade heaven
Gotoh GB640 lightweight tuners
Hipshot A style bridge
Obsidian solderless wiring harness
Absolutely KILLs even the American Pro II
I got mine brand new on sale for $375
Weighs 8 pounds
Oooo I need to look up that color. Sounds incredible.
I picked up a "used" one last week (only played for 4 hours) that had been professionally set up for $150!
Been really wanting one of these, this looks combo is so awesome.
Can’t recommend it enough. Get a good setup and some nice flat wound strings and you’re golden.
@@TomButwinFlat wound might be the key ! 😍
I ordered this in black earlier today, n glad I ran acros syour vid. I agree Squier has upped their game BIG TIME! I recently sold off my vintage partscaster and decided to look at the other end of the cost spectrum. I ended up with 4 Squier guitars (2 strat 2 tele) and I'm just blown away! I was planning on changing out the pickups on my fav one, but decided to pause and take it to jam day with the stock ones, and I'm SOO glad I did! They weren't anything to writle home about when I was first plugging in by myself, but in the mix on jam day WOW! Keep it up Squier! Squier name on the headstock could soon be a badge of pride!!
Nice! They are really good, I agree.
Nice work man. Thank you!!!
Thank you for watching!!

My bass is the normal all black one which I’m not sure is basic but I still love it and I’ve only been playing for about 4 months but my first and currently only bass guitar is something I’ll love forever
First instruments are always special. Never let that one go!
Yeah Tom ! Good choice for beginners to intermediate as option to the F logo !!
I love the looks of this Bass
It looks great and plays/sounds great. Highly recommend any of the Classic Vibe Squier stuff.
I have the 60s classic vibe (trying to re-create a specific guitar) and they really are amazing value for money. Squier is already above almost all or all other "second brand" companies, and i think they put extra love and resources into the "Classic Vibe" ones. It really approaches a true North America made fender in quality.
The CV Squiers are absolutely insane. A total steal, whether it's this bass or any of the guitars too. I agree!
Very interested in this bass (I currently have a J but want to add a P) so this review was super helpful, thanks.
Glad I could help!
I picked up a used '70's p-bass just like that one, and he's right. For the money, I couldn't buy a better bass, period. But if you're a headstock snob, well, you're missing out.
Love the term “headstock snob” lol! I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t been one at certain points, but after playing some of these more recent “budget” brands, I’ve been seriously impressed.
Dude that thing sounds killer! Like seriously, as a bass player, I was like, "that bass has got some beefy tone!" And the price even without the discount is pretty reasonable. What kind of amp setup did you have to record it for the video?
Just a UA Ampeg SVT stock plugin! Thanks man!
@@TomButwin wow. Gonna need to check that out.
I think these basses get more praises than they deserve. I love their looks and playability. However, in terms of sound quality, these are too quiet you have to turn up the volume significantly
Swap that pickup!
Just bought one $389 @GC!
I got this bad boy a few weeks ago, threw on a Player Series P Bass neck and a Leo Quan Badass II, and hoo, boy, it rules!
Final mod is a cream-colored DiMarzio Model P. Mmmm, 70s punk machine!
Nice mod!
Nice video! 😃
I ironically bought this today because it was perty and I need a bass for recording, knowing absolutely nothing about it I wanted to know more and found this video.
Glad you found it! I love the bass. Not sure if I got really lucky or if they’re all like this, but it’s really great. Get a good setup and strings and you’re on your way.
Squier CV series are killer. some people are obsessed with Fender for no reason. I own a Fender myself but this doesn't mean i will not own a Squier.
CV series is really punching above it’s weigh class, that’s for sure!
@@TomButwinman i made huge mistake in the comment!! i realized rn. and yes CV series killing.
I recently hot a Squire classic vibe 50s P bass and it's great. Coincidentally I also got a minor blemish for under $400 and I can't find anything wrong with it
Deal of the century! A good setup and some new strings and it’s unstoppable.
Grabbed this bass and i dig the feel and look but ive gotta say the pickup is LOUD, lots of buzz and hum when the tone is cranked up past halfway. Sounds great with the tone rolled off but still pretty dissapointed with the pickup, will likely swap
Weird! Wonder if there’s some kind of issue. I haven’t found that with mine. I still might swap the pickup, though.
dunlop flatwound ? amazing sound !
La Bella flats!
I love flats on a p-bass! I have one in pieces, but I like that neck!
The neck is my favorite part! Let me know if you ever want to take this one for a test drive.
Dude, I need to get back to lessons. I’ve been away from it for a while. We’ll have to chat!
Yes!
💯
Yup!
Realy is Super Bass ❤
I agree!
You said you had roundwound strings on it, but I think you meant flatwound. But I got you.
Damn it. Did I say round? Absolutely meant flats. Thank you.
Only people who can't play care about the brand on the headstock. Squiers best for the buck!
Well, I can’t play, but I don’t care about the brand! Lol
Basso mediocre,problemi con elettronica.
