Can i add korean soy bean paste or can you recommend the one you are using..
Also, description list 2 Tbsp dark soy sauce but I didn't see you add.
    Is it optional?

ohhh~~ mine is using the same ingredients but instead of using the spice bag, i used the 5 spice powder and boil everything together with the beef shank cubes for an hour then simmer for another 2 hours.. XD

@@themeatmensg It was recommended by UA-cam. Your video was recommended and I took a chance and watched. My only assumption: I enjoy making foreign cuisine from scratch in my basic America kitchen 😂 I often look up new foreign recipes.
My interests in new recipes are mostly from the following countries: India (trying to be more plant based); Vietnam; Korea; and lastly, Taiwan.
Taiwanese cuisine is a new venture for me, and it’s refreshing and exciting. I am a huge fan of southeast Asian cuisine, because it’s like eating a fresh, fragrant garden with healthy, fatty, non-fried meat.
I am of the opinion that Asian cuisine from many Asian countries reigns supreme over all. It’s generally healthier and the portions are smaller, something a health conscious American like me can appreciate.
Favorite food of all time: ramen 🍜

I used white wine vinegar and realized I had mirin in my cabinet. It probably is better with rice wine, lol. I’ll try that next time.

The spice bag is just to make it easier to separate the spices. You can use a tea ball or nothing at all.
