This mod is so much fun to play! Can't believe I've waited this long to download it... guess I really needed you Pixie to make me decide ;) Keep making these awesome NW videos! I love em :)
Pixie, thank you SO much for mentioning the sale on great Big Canvas. My girlfriend has wanted a canvas of Scotland Forever for years, and thanks to you I can get it for her at half price!!
47:00 , i was the same but the opposite, i loved napoleonic battles, just because you really need to use tactics and the sheer size of the battle, but i played some m&b recently and now i love the warfare in the middle ages ( thanks to you )
I'm in the Army and currently deployed overseas in Southwest Asia. Your videos are a constant source of entertainment! Keep it up Apollo! I am history major as well and love you canvas! The Napoleonic Wars have always interested me.
I saw your tweet about those canvases, I want to say again how freaking cool that is dude! Napoleon is my uncle, so I guess we are cousins? Haha! I might try to get something similar if I can find some cool artwork depicting a Roman-era battle scene of something
Lhh tell me why I was listening to France national anthem and then your vid notification popped up and there right there is the french to arms citizens form your battalions
they just early took the town, fortified it, absorbed the push of the enemy, flanked him, reerflanked him and annihilated him at the end. perfect synchronisation during all the battle. it was not a close one because french team was tacticly well superior than russian team. three true napoleons were on battlefield today and made him proud from where he is today ! Vive la France !!! Vive l'Empereur !!!
TheWeak BecameStrong i was playing the confederation, if we were not synchro it's because we were not on discord, we were using the chat so impossible to be very strategic. It was the first time i was playing with my m8
Pixie-That is a great painting it was originally commissioned by King Charles the IV of Spain ( before the occupation) for the palace and was taken back to France and hung in the library of the Hotel des Invalides (home for army vets in Paris) there are several similar paintings with different colored pant legs and some are signed by Napoleon? Just a bit of background. Thanks for the great content
I am a huge history nerd too! I stumbled upon your channel when doing research on Napoleon and have become addicted. I am related to the third president of the republic of France Patrice de macmahon
dude i am with you on the love for the Napoleonic Era, i have a model battle that took me 1 and a half years to put together and paint, it inlcudes over 3000 figurines of Prussian and French soldiers
The Total War universe is a place where war is everywhere and allegiances are constantly shifting with the wind. It must be a scary place for noncombatants.
Napoleon is my favorite person in history...pure genius..i love the uniforms also., especially the Cuirassier,,, I love your vids buddy,,, keep up the excellent work my friend.
"My regiment is better than yours and i will move in front of you." "Well can your regiment take getting shot in the back 20 times? I bet it can't!" "You have yourself a bargain!"
I found this one a little confusing, but entertaining all the same. I too love the work of Jacques Louis David. The Romantic art of this period has greatly influenced the world as we experience today. Artistic influence being among the least of these. Having said that, the average photograph owes its form and perspective to this period. This art like no other before transmits to the individual a sense of self and possibility. An aesthetic for modern life. Owing much and borrowing heavily from classical ideals it remains unique in that once god like qualities are within the grasp of the mortal. Its effect is seen in how people perceive themselves, their surroundings and their aspirations. A kind of blue print for the psyche of the modern Westerner. Its consequences can be seen both within the period and more so the centuries following. But I digress,
I wish we had more strategy games from the period 1700 - 1900. I would love to see a game that requires you to really manage your armies, in terms of feeding, supply and logistics. Also adding base building aspects, too. This era has such potential for a video game.
Hey apollo, maybe one day you should have a live stream and you should talk with us about these wars and just history or we can ask you questions. Just a suggestion.
Hey Pixel, I'm Evan (12) and I'm a big history fan too. I'm just saying this bc your right, not thst many people our interested. But I'm here and just so you know my favorite perod is the Renisanse bc it changed our world in so many ways. Thank you for making these videos.

betrthnu How could it be anything but sarcastic?
True. But I would hope that the absurdity of the statement would be enough for people see the sarcasm.

TheWeak BecameStrong i think they were on discord but i may be wrong.
Communication in this mod is very very important.
Jack aubrey 22, it probably would have gone better if russia didn't screw up and lose his general that early on.
"Words are hard." (Pixelated Apollo, 2017)
Wow! This was such a fascinating battle to watch! Those tactics played a huge role in the France and Spanish win! I really enjoyed this one.
If Apollo had an army during that time I would join it
This was an amazing battle and I always love your commentary in battles! Btw i love the merch its looks sick!!
3rd French Empire.

La Raison I would take Apollo instead of current head of Bonaparte family.

That hero General saving the whole line! MOH
Don’t worry Apollo, There is nothing wrong with liking history. I’m also a history nerd, and that’s why my friends like me.
In battles such as these, the fog of war would have been insanely intense. The smoke would be so thick at times that you could hardly see the enemy.
This is the great battle i've ever seen
Napoleon, YES!!
Doesn't matter where you are in Europe.
Lip caterpillars are the trend.

That was just infantry and cav charge after charge. Well played. The British-Rhine alliance charged in too late when they were already depleted.
