Way cool Jacob! Seen a rag horn bull elk 1/4 mile up the road from my house this afternoon... I haven't seen a shooter buck as well. Biggest one is maybe 110"....
Our season opens next weekend I’m heading out scouting again today hopefully I’ll find something impressive. I found a little bit of buck sign yesterday but nothing that gets me excited.
I know they work really good to keep mosquitoes away. I hunt some in the river bottoms and if I hunted there early season I would use one for sure. If not a person might run out of blood. When I’m hunting in the mountains I just wear a scent lok suit and face mask. Something about that scent lok face mask they don’t bother me to much. If you have the wind right I’m sure you’ll be okay. I also carry some deet cream just in case I get in an area that’s real bad. I try my best to not use anything that smells but you got to do what you got to do.
@@JacobSchmittDeerHuntingSchool I use a net turkey mask over a hat, long sleeve wicking black shirt with camo over it and lightweight camo gloves. Have had deer walk within 10 yards of me. Even with orange best on. I generally use a ground blind. Works well.
one year hunting CT a 3 leg dear . a doe being chased by 1 coyote came by my tree stand 30 yards . I thought I wood never see that deer again. 1 year later I seen a 3 leg deer in the same spot . I think it was the same deer .
usually they say the mature buck tends to think he's a big shot and will try to stand off w a coyote .... that def aint ain't button buck his body is pretty filled especially that neck area he gotra he a few years old im not a pro but based off research he def looks older in my eyes and he didn't look like he was injured from the coyote no visible blood any where that I noticed
Looks like the deer has a hurt right front leg it is carrying it in lots of the pictures
Yeah he is favoring that leg.
The deer is definitely carrying one of its front legs. It more than likely ended up dead.
Yeah I noticed that after I made the video and watched it before I uploaded it. He is definitely favoring his fight front leg.
Seems to me that the deer has an injured right front leg.
Yeah I noticed that once I had it in a video and watched it

@@richardtrowell8812 yeah sounds like it would work good might have to give it a try them hot early season days it would be nice
The coyote's game is to tire the deer out over a long period, days possibly.
Yeah your probably right and when he gets some others to help it’s over
I had kind of wondered where you had went for a while.
Yeah I work 12-14 hours a day every day unless I’m hunting or fishing. I try to make as many videos as possible. It’s tough to do sometimes.
@@JacobSchmittDeerHuntingSchool I completely understand. I am a teacher and coach, so 12 hours is the usual.

They are definitely determined to live. This one I guess we will never know. He was not going out easy that’s for sure.

Yeah he looks like he’s at least a 3 year old to me. I wish I would have had the camera in video mode.
It’s not cool
Why doesn’t the deer go away!
Would have just followed it, the coyote wants to tire it out.
