The 270 Out is a difficult jib trick, but we are going to give you the steps on how you can progressively work up to attempting 270's Out, then give you the tips you need to stomp both the Tailslide 270 and the Front Blunt 270. Remember, this is a fairly advanced jib trick, but it will add a tonne of style to your riding that is sure to turn some skulls.

Gotta say, just jumping around on the ground in the boots helps big time.
Also, just putting in the time on the hill makes a huge diff too. Can't really do any of this unless you got certain muscles developed.
But... Buttering has been the real ticket. Learning how to keep the board flat versus an edge is a huge stepping stone.

is it just me or are ride-on boxes harder sometimes. I kinda like ollie on features better. I'm not particularly good a jibbing either. I've spent far more time on a skateboard though. Also, anyone else hit the rail when they come around with a 270 from a front board, I did and I blew part of my edge out

This can definitely happen. 2 things:
      1. When I'm just rolling off the rail or box, i give myself that fraction of a second extra for my board to clear before I rotate. This is actually kind hard, coz you almost have to hold yourself from rotating and it requires too much timing and thought. Plus sometimes I'm completing the end part of my 270 after landing - which I'm not sure you would still call it a 270.
This is ok if the drop-off is high, and you definitely want to land toe-side/heel-side to avoid catching an edge and eating it, but I recommend the next method:
      2. Do a small ollie OR pop up, to get a bit of air, which helps propel you up and away from the rail/box. Ollie's are self-explantory, but for the "pop", only a bit is needed, where I get down lower and stand tall real quick (like a "pump" in surfing) and tuck legs up a bit which gives me clearance to 270 out.

I have the same thing this might be because u feel more scared in a box because u have s higher chance of catching a edge
