My 2014 tundra xtreme 600 etech can keep up with my friends mountain model 800s in steep mountain climing. I use it for ice fishing and hauling firewwood around too. I really reccomend sleds like that for their versitality.
Pretty sure Ski-Doo entered with the 2016 expedition extreme. Maybe that was considered a different category back then? Great video gents, looking forward to more comparisons in the utility area.
I have a 2020 850 Expedition Extreme in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I primarily ride with my kids in the mountains around Revelstoke. My kids and the dealer thought I was nuts to buy this sled. It is 596 lbs dry. I removed the stabilizers and I can go pretty much anywhere. I cannot do long deep and steep hill climbs but that is not my thing. Lots of people come over and want to talk about this sled. For me it is a go anywhere, do anything sled without compromise. All the mountain sleds overheat in low snow conditions, not this sled. They call me the Groomer, but noone makes fun of this beast. I am 52 years old and I want comfort and performance under multiple conditions and this sled does it all really well.
i just picked up a 2025 lynx brutal 20 wide. I did the mtn sled thing for many yrs and low snow is a huge concern for me, i dont really tow much so the brutal is the extreme minus the hi/lo and the track is a 20 wide 2.4. I like bashing in the deep and this made sense to me with all of that with the massive heat exchanger in the tunnel and the fan equipt rad under the hood. Im up in Alaska btw
@@marksjunction69 I was on a 2022 pro rmk 850 the last few yrs and it was an absolute monster and legitimately went whenever i pointed it. The thing i loved about the pro the most was how nimble and maneuverable it was, with me being 6'2" and 240lbs it took little to no input to sidehill even in stupid low snow and it held it with ease. Im very aware of the brutals extra weight and stance that might require a bit more input but thats a non issue considering i was on a 2008 yamaha nytro 154 that was turbo'd and layin down around 320 hp.
some one sounded a lill bias lmao.. cant speak for the epoxy but y titan it a beast. I can say that i cannot seem to keep up as well with trail sleds on high speed turns, tight or huge, when i get to the apex i start to roll where as trail sleds keep grounded better. I had a 155" indy adventure 550 before this, and I could take corners much better, again this sled was a bit different with the 155" x 16" track, it was like riding a dirt bike. years ago we had a 550 scandic wide track for surveying, I can honestly say i did not like that sled. sure it was a go anywhere, but it really sucked for handling, if the epoxy or titan was around back then they would have dominated the scandic in every way. all that said, I wouldn't want any other sled, maybe an epoxy, but i haven't been on one to compare. as for the titan, she'll rip the bars out of your hand, eat up trail bumps like there not there, make decent air (somehow for a near 700lb sled) pull the skis, turn heads, go anywhere, and suck gas. honestly, my only complaint, and you'll call me crazy, but, for a utility sled, its overpowered. it cruses on the trails at about 90-100km/h and even when i have hundreds of pounds worth of gear in the box and in tow it acts like its not there and wants to cruse too fast. I have to actively keep the sled slower so i don't bang the crap out of my gear. i !HATE! to say it but i wish it had a 600, it would be a bit more rounded for what it is (sport/utility)

Your correct, the Extreme came out 1 year before the Titan.
Its not that year and for 20 grand I____We expect a hell of alot more period
These guys know their snowmobiles, the first thing they mentioned were POOR BRAKING ...... on both sleds!
Where is the Artic cat Norseman 8000x?
My friend has one. Smoking hunk of junk with an antiquated rack system.
@@ernieferguson9513 i love mine😜
@@pierreboutin3172 My apologies, I was just giving my buddy a hard time. Very nice sled indeed.

Have a 20 850 Expedition Extreme, awesome sled!!!
Thanks for the info. I am buying for the first time in years so I want to see what new toy this old man wants... Thanks, liked, subbed... Thanks...
Where are you guys located?
MN
First one I get I wanna get a utility, big seat. Second will be sport bike
Where's the towing test? I can haul 1500 pounds with a 2002 polaris 550 sport touring.
Who will improve their braking systems on these sleds first ? ......My guess, Polaris, but we’ll see soon, I hope!
ski stance impact on handling??? WTF was that? You didn't talk about the one thing people want to know!
Paper bag over your head lol are you that self conscious of what others will think of a cheaper snowmobile.. this is the men of today people.
In my experience a shit banger 500 with a snow stuff can will catch more fish than either one of these
