I have got a 2007 Flstf Peace officer ltd.time to upgrade the for a M8,looked all softail line up honestly i was thinking a RK or SG since i saw the rubbish New Fatboy, after this Jamie's 114 herritage& Matt's videos about RK&Herritage.i have to make a test ride with a 114 heritage OMG what a badass Machine welldone Jamie,Lots of respect and greetings from #wildatlanticway Ireland 🤘
Of all the modification on a Softail Heritage Classic, Jamie's modifications is by far still the best. I've saved this video a few years ago and have watched so so many other Softail Heritage Classic's modification videos after that but I still come back to this one. Jamie's idea and the vision he has in his mind for the bike are truly awesome. It is an everlasting favorite
I really like that Matt is getting into showing peoples bikes and how - why people have made those changes. It really gives you a chance to think about your bike and what you want to do with it. 2 thumbs up!
Damn that's sweet man! I really enjoyed Jamie's dialogue about why he chose certain parts and their functionality. A unique point of view for sure! P.S. Great Tunes Matt!
I never thought I'd ever consider a Heritage.... It's always been kind of between different styles I like. But this new one is awesome. I think it's one of the best looking 2018 Softails. I know they supposedly made it "edgy" and modern. But to me, it looks even more old-school, like back to the 40s era. Some of these poser/haters don't even know what they're looking at.
I have a 2020 Heritage Classic V107 in vivid black. Bro, your bike is hooked. What sold me on the bike was the fact that, in less than 5 minutes, you can remove the saddle bags, remove the windshield and remove the rear seat and it looks like a totally different bike. It goes from touring to a badass street cruiser.
Hey just wanted to say this video was some inspiration for me when I did my build. I definitely made my 2018 114" mine. One of the things I love so much about bikes is there's no "right way" - there's just YOUR way. That's what I did. Jamie thanks for the inspiration. I know you later sold this bike and that's cool - hey you gotta be you. No doubt with your experience, taste and shop resources, whatever bikes you run they're gonna be straight monster. Keep the shiny side up!
Just when I think I've finally decided on the next bike, you pullout another test. Then back to the drawing board I go...I was looking for a reason to love the new heritage. Thanks for giving it too me.. :)
As a multiple RG owner I must admit the Heritage has always been my second favorite bike. Jamie what you’ve done to your bike mirrors my style very closely. Hot Roding a classic looking bike is never a bad thing. Outstanding bike & video! Ride safe.
I test rode a few different ones from the 2018 softail line and the factory stock 114 Heritage was my favorite. Absolutely blew me away how awesome it performed. Would not surprise me if the new Heritage gains a new-found popularity. Loved that bike!!!
Thanks for doing this video. Awesome to see the value of the Heritage... cruise, ABS, front lighting, saddlebags, floorboards all standard. And the potential, his changes to the bike tip it towards mean. Also, I was just looking at the Stage upgrades in the catalog, and thought the Stage 3 seemed like such a better value. It's substantially cheaper l, but the overall power is not much lower than a Stage 4. Love his reasoning and explanation on Stage 3. Damn... my fantasy 2018 Street Bob just got a competitor.
Never have been a Softail fan with one exception...the Heritage. Have always liked it's looks and style. There's just something cool about it. And this bike is just AWESOME! Pure badass muscle machine. Bet it's a blast to ride.
Opening with the full blown money shot. No messin'. Those pipes sound ferocious as hell- I like how they sound throaty and gutteral. No harsh notes at the top. Just got back from visiting my local dealer to get a feel for ergo's and pricing on the HD's I'm contemplating. I too need a comfy commute beast- 64mi R/T daily in NorCal/Silicon Valley area. I ride 365 rain or shine- to the office then on weekends taking the twisty mountain roads to the beaches. The SGS, RGS, and RK kind of seemed to fit, but after watching Matt's vid explaing the 2018 Heritage and RK chassis, and now this video showing a badass commuter setup using the Heritage, I think I found the next ride. Great video and super sweet ride!
Jamie, this is exactly where I want to go to next. I have a matte black ‘09 883 with a Stage 1 kit. Everything about your bike I want next. Thanks bud. Love from Canada.
Love the bike and the mods you have made. The brake upgrade is a good call, that's the biggest weakness I found on the stock heritage. Seeing your bike RIP like that is making me want to go stage III with my Fatbob!
Good Lord! I love how that thing looks without the bags! I do wonder if the sport glide bags would fit it? I don't like the studs on the stock ones. Great ride.
Curious what people think about how well this air filter supports a Stage 3. I'm looking to build a Milwaukee 8 to Stage 3 and I prefer the look of this one, but the Ventilator Extreme supposedly flows a lot more air.
Totally love this video. Great job by Laidlaw Harley Davidson and Jamie. This video finalized my decision to get a Heritage. Would love to see more details on Jamie’s bike.
This is the best vid you guys have done, and that is saying something. Well... best at least for me... lol. I am coming off Ducati and Honda bikes, I own an Indian Scout now. This bike is absolutely badass. I have been considering moving to a Softail Slim. Jamie - well done brother. This vid has me very highly considering the Heritage as my next bike. Pull the bags and windshield and this thing looks sick. Plus the 114... lol. Hmmmmmmm.
I love this bike as a all-year round bike, the only thing I would change is the wire wheels, once they get corrosion or rust it's a pain in the arse to clean, but if you are dedicated and clean them good, they look great. Cheers mate!
When Jamie speaks I listen. Thanks for giving him the opportunity to share his wisdom. I have been considering trading in my Dyna Low Rider S for the new M8 Heritage. As I love most things about my Dyna it hasn’t been an easy decision to make. Jamie, coming from a background in performance bikes similar to my own was able to address all my concerns. Thanks Jamie 👍🏽
Awesome video thanks for sharing. Very nice touches to the bike, looks amazing and by the sound of it on the video she really moves! I'm still enjoying my 2008 heritage softail. Can't part with her .
I never even looked twice let alone once at this model as something that even had a chance of looking cool. Mind changes and might have to go give it a look I liked this build so much.
First of all thank you very much for posting all these wonderful and inspiring videos Matt. I hope they bring you many customers but sadly I live across the pond. And a big congrats to Jamie on his build, these is one of the most beautiful Harleys I have ever seen, that man has really got taste! This video has made me want to sell my beautiful club style FXDLS and gave me inspiration for building a Heritage. I have watched this video 6 or 7 times by now. Much of the inspiration for my FXDLS came from David's video by the way, great bike as well. Also my compliments on your simple but very nice club syle 2018 Fat Bob by the way, great idea! Anyway, going for a testride on the Heritage and a nice chat with my dealer tomorrow morning. A question to Jamie if I may. Does the auto tuner only work with the Street Tuner Pro or also with the Super Tuner Pro. And does a Super Tuner Pro exist for the Milwaukee 8 engine? It's not in the acessories book but neither is the one I have for my Dyna. I ask because I'd like to try the auto tuner but might go to my tuner guy afterwards anyway and he can do much more with the Super Tuner than the Street Tuner. He got my Stage 1 FXDLS to 106.8 bhp and 179.8 Nm at 6200 revs. That guy really knows his shit. Sadly the decel pops are there. Also Jamie, if you do further work on your Heritage, please make a follow up video, love your work!
Sweet! Not a Heritage fan as well...but this year I don't think that there is a new bike in the lineup that I would not be happy with it look and performance wise. Looks great all blacked out and sounds insanely good! Insane look and sound!!!
I love those zombies.... We got my wife a 2018 heritage 107... and I have a 2018 FLTRU... If I didn't think I would have warranty issues on these... I would definitely put a set on both bikes... Great video...
Congratulations on the new production my friend, the drone thing is awesome, good to see you are accomplishing what you said you wanted to do. I´ts been a while since I visited your channel, I was pissy about the Dyna lol, I was one of those I admit but I´m back on the Laidlaw wagon, keep the production quality going up and up and - unless mister YT thinks your concent is patriotic or slightly conseervative and starts hiding it- you´ll hit 100k in 5 more months. Lets make motorcycling great again, we need a new terminator, we need a new Harley and the Marlboro man, we need manly stuff, we need to remember people taking risks is fun, thats the entire point.
P.S. You should consider getting in touch with Gavin Maccines or Mike Cernovich, heard of the Night for freedom thingy they did a couple of days ago? thats your 50k boost man, your video about the problem the motorcycle industry is facing and the solutions is brilliant. You are half way there.
Absolutely love this Heritage that is a great looking bike! Very tasteful upgrades! I think we need Jamie to make a couple more with a similar touch to them get more started with a great Heritage bike!
I think this is my fifth or sixth time watching this video since you post it. I find myself watching this build every now and then. I think i am a real fan of this bike. Can you do a follow up video if there are any new upgrades?
looks like the Kurakyn www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/kuryakyn-curved-laydown-license-plate-frame-mount-for-harley?gclid=CjwKCAjwq_D7BRADEiwAVMDdHtRK_tV4WTYkt0x1eKDihmbo3WFo1TsF-TC5EMujDxB5ezE-GYs5cRoC0hIQAvD_BwE
My first H-D was a 2002 EFI Heritage. I then went to a Fat Boy, a Deluxe, A Road King...But I am now going back to a Heritage. Most comfortable and versatile H-D in my opinion
Had the 2014.......Heritage........went to the Road King. 2017.........But Man..........this is sweet..........thinking back to the Softail...........line.
Man you did a great job. I love it! Especially the brake rotors. You are right they have been using those same old brake rotors forever. They were the ones my 08 Night Train came with and I replaced them with rotors very similar to yours. Hoping you have many happy miles ahead of you on it.
I know this video is old, but this has me seriously reconsidering the Heritage over the Road King for my first Harley. Only things that has me undecided on it are the bags and spoke rims.
It's funny you chose those TAB pipes. I never saw or heard them in person... but I suspected they sounded awesome on the M8 from watching other youtube videos. Your bike rocks.
Top Job on the bike ,looks great and great performance upgrade .I will do same on my next buy ,I on a stg4 18 RGS. and great documentary ,straight to the point you should do more. Thanks
Nice bike, humble guy. Nice to know that you rode different bikes and your not brand loyal. I own a 17 Road Glide and a 14 KTM 1290R. I like all of motorcycling. You got me thinking bout a stage 3 kit for the glide cause I don't want ta lose that low and mid range grunt. Thanx for the video.
Great looking bike, Thanks for sharing what you did to it and your opinions. Hoping Harley comes out with a yellow paint scheme for it, I'll be buying one once they do
Summing up the greatest thing about Harleys...”this is how I set it up to make it my way”(paraphrasing).... The Harleys have so so many parts and optional pieces, each bike can be individualized to the point that with a limited number of models, you rarely if ever bump into 2 bikes that are the same. Love all bikes, but especially Harley.
This is the most badass Heritage I have ever heard or seen. Holy crap.
Like a bad assed Hermit Crab, crawling along the bottom eating shit.
I am bulding one just like yours
I have got a 2007 Flstf Peace officer ltd.time to upgrade the for a M8,looked all softail line up honestly i was thinking a RK or SG since i saw the rubbish New Fatboy, after this Jamie's 114 herritage& Matt's videos about RK&Herritage.i have to make a test ride with a 114 heritage OMG what a badass Machine welldone Jamie,Lots of respect and greetings from #wildatlanticway Ireland 🤘

Same here, hoping to do the same thing to mine..
I don’t see it too often, but the heritage classic looks absolutely killer with the bags and windshield off.
Beautiful bike.
I really like that Matt is getting into showing peoples bikes and how - why people have made those changes. It really gives you a chance to think about your bike and what you want to do with it. 2 thumbs up!
Absolutely love what you've done to this machine. Perfection!
Damn that's sweet man! I really enjoyed Jamie's dialogue about why he chose certain parts and their functionality. A unique point of view for sure! P.S. Great Tunes Matt!
Dactylgodhand thanks brother. Thanks for watching
@@MattLaidlaw how tall are these bars?

Man I wasn't a fan of the Heritage but my goodness that's a bad ass machine
Hell yea it is! Makes me want to get one now!
Absolutely loved everything about this video. Great build and story.
Dig everything about this bike. Nice vid. What bars and clamp are those? Thx
He is only tech touches my CVO Street Glide when I come in for service at Laidlaw’s HD.
Well done Jamie 👍🏼
Don Quixote thanks James.

Just ordered 14inch apes for mine gonna figure out the cables soon looks badass man!!! Love this bike it’s not your granddads heritage anymore lol
Every now and then I pull this video back up because this bike looks so badass! Especially with the windshield and bags off. It looks gangster!
Wow-I bought a Heritage for the balance and ride quality-I never thought it could be a torque machine like this!!
Amazing transformation! Dang! I just bought a 2019 Heritage and agree it is a sweet bike! Love the bags and windshield!

You’re welcome my friend. 👍🏻
Jamie has such a fine taste in Harleys, congrats for that beautiful heritage
As a multiple RG owner I must admit the Heritage has always been my second favorite bike. Jamie what you’ve done to your bike mirrors my style very closely. Hot Roding a classic looking bike is never a bad thing. Outstanding bike & video! Ride safe.
Comment appreciated. Thanks.
Jamie awesome choice and fantastic mod's on your Heritage. Maybe the Dyna whiners will start taking notes and stop hating.
Andrew Trapani funny you say this lmao I was one of those and BAM I bought this bike still have my Superglide but man oh man I love this Heritage
I test rode a few different ones from the 2018 softail line and the factory stock 114 Heritage was my favorite. Absolutely blew me away how awesome it performed. Would not surprise me if the new Heritage gains a new-found popularity. Loved that bike!!!
Tim Murphy glad you were surprised how good they are. I have an Ultra and sporty but my heritage is my daily driver and I love it
Thanks for doing this video. Awesome to see the value of the Heritage... cruise, ABS, front lighting, saddlebags, floorboards all standard. Your bike is sick Jamie! I have heard great things about the handling on new Heritage, and that motor rips with your upgrades.great choice!
Never have been a Softail fan with one exception...the Heritage. Have always liked it's looks and style. There's just something cool about it. And this bike is just AWESOME! Pure badass muscle machine. Bet it's a blast to ride.

Looks and sounds great! Fantastic job brother.
My dream bike for sure. love what he did with his. Peace brother.
That’s one beautiful machine bro congrats great choice !
Most badass heritage I’ve seen. The Heritage is the most versatile bike HD owns and it’s more fun than my SG.
Brilliant ! Im the same, never liked a Heritage enough to buy one, but 2018 model i would !!
Jamie, this is exactly where I want to go to next. I have a matte black ‘09 883 with a Stage 1 kit. Everything about your bike I want next. Thanks bud. Love from Canada.
That intro was bad ass! 😎😎 Btw love the new drone footage Matt, well done!
Thank you! I'm trying to mix things up and keep it interesting
Love the bike and the mods you have made. The brake upgrade is a good call, that's the biggest weakness I found on the stock heritage. Seeing your bike RIP like that is making me want to go stage III with my Fatbob!
Never been a heritage fan. This is 1 sick bike. Congrats to Jamie on his new ride.
HANDLEBARS!!! I need to know what they are so I can get a set for my 16 heritage!!
Keep up the good work with these vids. I like hearing down to earth people talk about their bikes. Have fun.
Good Lord! I love how that thing looks without the bags! I do wonder if the sport glide bags would fit it? I don't like the studs on the stock ones. Great ride.
daviddb1972 Harley offers the same bag without the studs as an accessory
cbruce76 that's very good to know. Thanks man.
Curious what people think about how well this air filter supports a Stage 3. I'm looking to build a Milwaukee 8 to Stage 3 and I prefer the look of this one, but the Ventilator Extreme supposedly flows a lot more air.
That’s one good looking and bad sounding bike. I just went from a 07 Lowrider to the 19 heritage 114. I absolutely love it.
Totally love this video. Great job by Laidlaw Harley Davidson and Jamie. This video finalized my decision to get a Heritage. Would love to see more details on Jamie’s bike.
WOW what a Awesome build that is one awesome looking Heritage really tough looking good job Jamie can def see why your a Master Harley Mechanic

Man, that looks so good when the bags and windshield are taken off!!
Please upload more videos of this bike. It is sick!!!
I had a ‘12 Heritage...loved it! Love what HD did with the redesign of ‘18...fantastic build!
Awesome Jamie!!!!! Harley should have consulted you for the design of their Heritage, they would have increased their sales dramatically!!!
We’re can you order the mirrors thank you
Awesome bike Jamie. I won't look at the Heritage the same from now on.....
Saaaa-weeet! That new heritage is so diverse. Bars and subdued trim make it look mean!
Hell Yeah Jamie, That's 1 Bad MO FO, only other thing I would have changed is the wheels. Kudos Bro 👊✌
I love this bike as a all-year round bike, the only thing I would change is the wire wheels, once they get corrosion or rust it's a pain in the arse to clean, but if you are dedicated and clean them good, they look great.

I never even looked twice let alone once at this model as something that even had a chance of looking cool. Mind changes and might have to go give it a look I liked this build so much.
I love my Heritage....
Really tasteful build, enjoy your new ride!
Beautiful Baldwin Park, my family lives in La Puente love out there.
I really like the bar and shield change on the tank, I think I’ll have that done to my heritage!
Get it painted on! 👍🏻
Can you ask Jamie what the part # is for the shift link lever, from the CVO bike please?
First of all thank you very much for posting all these wonderful and inspiring videos Matt. I hope they bring you many customers but sadly I live across the pond.

Fantastic upfit, great platform, and choices!!!! I would love such a sweet ride!
Congratulations on your choice and explanation of it!

That bike is a ripper! I’d change a couple small things to fit my style but overall he did a great job on this. Thanks for sharing
Sweet ass Heritage. I love the way the 2018’s look.
I love those zombies.... We got my wife a 2018 heritage 107... and I have a 2018 FLTRU... If I didn't think I would have warranty issues on these... I would definitely put a set on both bikes... Great video...

Thanks man. Probably one of the best comments I’ve read in awhile. Honest, constructive, and advice on how to get better. Thank you.
That’s an awesome bike right there
I love the hertiage have one myself. That is an awsome build you have done there Jamie looks, sounds and performs really well great job.
Absolutely love this Heritage that is a great looking bike! Very tasteful upgrades! I think we need Jamie to make a couple more with a similar touch to them get more started with a great Heritage bike!
Jamie is a badass mechanic!!!! Might need to bring my bike in and have him do his magic.
I think this is my fifth or sixth time watching this video since you post it. I find myself watching this build every now and then. I think i am a real fan of this bike. Can you do a follow up video if there are any new upgrades?
Thanks man. Jamie actually just sold it yesterday. He is finishing up a new Roadster. Stay tuned for that whole build.
What brand is that layback plate frame?! Its SICK!
Ditto on this question, everything ive found still has a gap between the top of the plate and the fender.
looks like the Kurakyn www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/kuryakyn-curved-laydown-license-plate-frame-mount-for-harley?gclid=CjwKCAjwq_D7BRADEiwAVMDdHtRK_tV4WTYkt0x1eKDihmbo3WFo1TsF-TC5EMujDxB5ezE-GYs5cRoC0hIQAvD_BwE
Can we have an update on Jamie and his bike. That's a beautiful build.
My first H-D was a 2002 EFI Heritage. I then went to a Fat Boy, a Deluxe, A Road King...But I am now going back to a Heritage. Most comfortable and versatile H-D in my opinion

The tone of the exhaust has some authority!
Top Job on the bike ,looks great and great performance upgrade .I will do same on my next buy ,I on a stg4 18 RGS. and great documentary ,straight to the point you should do more. Thanks
That sounds good on idle!!! I´m in love!
Question for Jamie… Will the Road King Special wheels bolt onto the M8 Heritage?
That is one cool ride Jamie, Great build, great looking bike. Great video as always Matt, love the start, Cheers
If I were to get a heritage I would definitely steal some of Jamie's ideas on his bike👍
great taste buddy! congrats
The bike is a beast. Great job!
Love that build, thanks for sharing your bike!
Nice clean practical build, I love it, great job!
I bought this bike due to this awesome build. What process did you take to paint the chrome fender trim? It is plastic
Great looking bike, Thanks for sharing what you did to it and your opinions. Hoping Harley comes out with a yellow paint scheme for it, I'll be buying one once they do
It is the best sounding M8 I have heard so far by far !
Yea, I have to agree. It sounds so awesome.
Excellent demo on this one Matt!
A beautiful bike and well built for its purpose. Outstanding!!
Where can I get that tank badge? Looks way better then the original.
My wife saved her pennies and just bought the 114 in twisted cherry, I'm jealous! Have a part number for that laydown plate frame?
I'm surprised that I clicked on a video of a heritage softtail sooo glad I did absolutely sick. Well done sir!!
This ain’t your grandpas Heritage
