- Chromecast with Google TV Help service guide for not turning on, program Remote control, connecting Headphones, no signal no audio or video fix, installing update, how to factory reset.
See steps below,
1. No power Turns off randomly - check power connections or use 5v 1.5a power adapter.
2. No signal No audio or video - Make sure your Chromecast device is plugged into a HDMI input that is not labeled as ARC or DVI per your tv user manual. To locate your Chromecast device on your TV HDMI port, select SOURCE or INPUT button on your TV remote control device, not on the Chromecast with Google TV remote device. Next try reseating HDMI connection or reset Chromecast by unplugging power for 30 sec, next try hard reset TV by unplugging power for 1min, next try use another HDMI input on TV
3. how to force update - go to settings, system, about, then update
4. Bluetooth headphones not connecting - turn off or unpair or move all nearby BT devices before pairing headphones to Chromecast by tapping button on Chromecast once.
5. Remote not working - remove batteries for 30 sec or replace with new batteries or factory reset to pair remote again.
6. any other issues can be fixed by factory reset by holding down power button for 15 seconds or until light goes from orange flashing to white.

my device is google chromecast 4k .I live in Kayseri, Turkey. My device remained the same as in the video. I try to reset it many times, but it won't turn on. I can't find anyone to fix it. I can't find software to fix this device.

My brother I have problem with powering my chromecast google tv via my projector usb power delivery port. This port is usb-a 1.5A but still chromecast giving me that screen low power. Ive checked projector setting and power port is on and ok. Its projector optoma hd29hst and even in spec its wroted that port is for powering devices like chromecast... Dont know what to do else.
Not working. Chromecast with Google TV device plug into HDMI port, tv screen immediately blank after few seconds; unplug & plug in several times, the issue remains the same.
I currently have the 2nd Gen Fire TV Cube. What I like about it is it turns on and off both my TV and soudbar with either the remote control and voice control. Everything else I have in my house is Google so I figured I get my TV on Google as well. How can I get my CCwGTV to turn on/off my TV and Soundbar simultaneously? If I can't get this to work then I'm returning it.
Great info Paul, as always. I bought a plain Chromecast to be able to stream my phone through the TV. Isn't Chromecast TV similar to Roku? I thought that 4 hdmi ports was plenty. I was wrong. I had to get an HDMI switch box and an RCA video/audio switch box to accommodate all of the devices: a Wii, a VCR, a blue ray player, a cable box, another game console, a stand alone dance mat, a Roku and a Chromecast. While I know how to connect all that stuff, most people wouldn't. I cringe when people are constantly plugging things in and out. Those HDMI ports are fairly delicate. You might want to do a segment on adding switch boxes.

On the remote and seeing the infrared, if your back facing (main) camera doesn't see it, try with your front facing camera. Most cameras on phones now have an infrared filter for better pictures. The lower quality forward facing camera usually doesn't.

Sir, i only get it to connect once, afte i unlplug all my devices for the day and plug them all this morning, it cant connect anymore. I followed all the support steps suggested by google. Resolving to factory reset but not yet in the button of device. I will try that now. Thanks for that info :(
Thank you so much for the valuable information. I just got my 3rd generation Google Chrome cast from China. Apparently when I opened the package . The information manual was in Chinese. When I plug the device in , on the TV display it shows Chinese language. I need English to set it up. Would you give me an idea how I can solve this problem. Will be really appreciated.

The only thing I don't like is the remote form factor and the super-soft easy to trigger buttons. Also the volume + - location it's not natural. But still a super good streamer.

I have 2 new google tv devices on 2 identical TCL tvs and when I turn off my TVs overnight then both of my devices will not connect to the TVs. I have to unplug them to get them to connect.

Okay my remote was pulsing and would not pair. The problem was with the remote. What I did was take the batteries out put them back in hold down the back and home button for 2 seconds even though it was pulsing. I then connected this to my phone's Bluetooth which surprisingly enough it actually work the screen to move up and down on Chromecast. Anyways I unpaired and there was no pulse on the remote. I clicked the button on the back of the Chromecast just one click and it went into Bluetooth mode. I then pressed back at home on the remote and this set the remote back in pairing mode and the Chromecast immediately recognized it then started the countdown for pairing.
Hopefully this helps out someone else because I was getting pissed.

Hello, i factory reset my chromecast after finding out that It cannot connect to the configured WiFi. My remote is not working anymore probably because of the battery leaked while it is inserted to the remote. Is there any workaround to be able to setup my chromecast? I'm currently stucked at Start Pairing when i connect the chromecast to the TV. Thanks

I think my chromecast is broken... When i connect my chromecast the logo is pop on but after that when i saw d device the white light it became orange and it will back again. Again and again... I dont know what to do..

Mine is no signal no matter what
It worked at the start then stopped working suddenly. It’s strange I have found that if I do a reset on the TV itself the chrome cast works till the tv is switched off
