    Using your method, I was able to determine the last number within 1 digit. 👍

    IF you are a registered technician with sentry you can buy a combo with a SN# sometimes it's the cheapest way to go. That being said it's a great skill to learn and try to master.

      I cracked my mother's Sentry combination safe yesterday with zero experience and zero real understanding of how the internals work. So now I'm on an adventure to actually figure this shit out for real. Lol I taught myself how to pick locks and shit I guess I jus naturally have some talent in this field. Lol

      You may also do a Google search of factory tryout combos for sentry safes and get lucky.

      @@JMLockpicking lol I hear that. I'm more worried about sneaky family members who might want to take a peak but I think my safe has a key lock as well that locks the combination wheel or locks it from being able to be opened. Was just joking around a little

    How do you get the big plastic cover off the back? Do you just use a screwdriver to pry it off?

    • @JMLockpicking
      @JMLockpicking  5 років тому +1

      I think it's because you only find two wheels set them and then go 0-99 on the last one when it opens that's the last number.

      JM Lockpicking so essentially once you’ve found you’re 2nd and 3rd wheel, to find the first you go in increments of 1.5 on the first wheel trying it with the rest of the combination?

    Is there a reason why the true gate is assumed to have the widest spread? What prevents a false gate from having a wider spread than the true gate?

    • @JMLockpicking

      Kory thanks for watching ~ Not trying be rude but my channel was kinda set up for lockpicking, the safe lock stuff just got added as entertainment for lock pickers, not really for instruction. Honestly I'm not a safe expert, back in the day I only had dealings with GSA stuff. I guess they could be but I don't know. If your truely interested I would get the NEW Sparrows vault and then buy every book out there about safe manipulation.

      @@JMLockpicking no offense taken! I've mostly been interested in lock picking myself. I was just curious because I'm working on a side project robotic manipulator. Their are guides for making a basic one, but as a personal challenge I'm trying to design my own without using a guide. Not intending to be a commercial product, it's just a personal challenge.

    • @JMLockpicking
      @JMLockpicking  3 роки тому +1

      Well Michael...my dad made this video so if I were to guess there's a way to remove it or I think he may have just cut all around it with a side grinder.

      @@JMLockpicking Looking at your Dad's great videos, and others on this fine venue, I now surmise that the three vertical slots in the plastic on the hinge side of the door's interior are release tabs where you would place a screwdriver into the slots to gently pry open the plastic cover. I was looking for confirmation of my theory, as I don't have this safe model available. I assisted a person over 1,000 miles away via telephone who was able to open his safe with my instructions. It appears that the customer's dial is somewhat loose and that the tumblers or opening index are off by a digit or two. Sentry safes with rotary dials are normally free from dialing alignment problems, so I am curious as to what the problem is with this safe. By removing the interior plastic door cover, we can determine if there is an actual lock problem, or if the written combination was off a digit or two. Thanks again to you and your Dad for making this video.

      Beginning around 2009 our governments decided they want combination locks made better and they got it. People like Jeff Sitar and myself cannot open safe and vault mechanical combination locks in less than 20 minutes any more. Only the old ones made before 2009 can be manipulated open. If you check the dates on all videos and info on Jeff Sitar manipulating open safes and vaults you will see they were made before 2009. However this video shows that Sentry safe is still making older locks that Jeff Sitar can open. There were originally four different mechanical combination locks that could be opened without knowing the combination using fingers only. Now they are disappearing. I just checked just now. Sentry safe's website is for sale. Are they out of business? Is their style of combination lock gone forever.

    Man every time you got to show us something you open it up and show the back, it would be nice to see what you were doing to the actual dial and lever. It would be great if you redid this tutorial and show us the front of the safe, and 1 video instead of breaking it up into three videos
