So I just acquired one of these safes. The previous owner gave me the combo, but I follow these steps, and on the final turn to the left it won’t stop and unlock. Does that mean I likely don’t have the right combo? Or is there something else I’m missing?
Sell it. These safes are horrible. Imagine being in a situation or your wife needs the gun. Shits ridiculous. Digital code or nothing. I keep a saw zall next to mine because they are so fucking unreliable

Will this work on a SentrySafe gun-safe as well? I didn’t know if some sequences were proprietary to manufacturer. Im struggling although I’ve gotten this darn thing open several times in the past. Just having trouble with her today. I knew I should have practiced… story of my life.
is there anyway to reset the combo nation on a old bulldog closet gun safe and do they normally go 4 3 2 1 till they would open

You call that easy? How do you open it, at night, when someone has broken into the house and you need your gun? This is a good advertisement for just not using a safe to lock up guns. Perhaps a key opening safe is better.
We hear you. It can be tough to open a safe without good light and when under stress, of course. This is why we recommend and stock most of our safes with digital keypads.
Safes are for when you're NOT HOME. At home they're ready to go.
