- There is some real opportunity with the SJGAM M19. It seems the handhelds continue to get better as they go along. Oddly not making any handhelds anything like another in the line. It seems like they base them around whatever affordable screen they can find. I hope to resolve the firmware issue with this handheld to follow up with performance.

There is just simply no reason to get this when you can get better handhelds (like the RG35XX H) from better company’s with a better warranty for around the same price. It’s Just kinda pointless but I always appreciate your reviews.

3566 is better than the H700; should be able to play more games on this
@@leelee7334 just a little but Not really, they both can’t play all the n64 or Dreamcast games and needs framskip for a lot of them.
There is a copy of the base image for the m19 in the retro handheld's discord from Dead Fred. The reason you can't boot these devices both the m19 and m18 with OS like ARKOS, EmuELEC, AmberElec, etc. Is that the boot priority is set to the eMMC and would need to wipe the eMMC which will likely result in bricking the device but would allow it to boot then from the sd card. I've not been able to figure out how to make the eMMC on the m18 writeable so I could do option number two whiuch would be to have the boot file point to the sd card partition to use as a boot device. I believe this is how they got the Batocera-Alpha for the m17 to boot from sd card the difference being that the M17's eMMC wasn't write protected like on the m18 and I'm assuming that this is the case for the m19 as well
Thank you. I’m aware of everything except the image from DeadFred. I actually messaged him a couple days ago asking if he would send me the image. Everything you said is correct and what I wrote in a message to the manufacturer. If they are going to sell this without games as I requested that is great but they still need to include the firmware on an SD or to most people who would get this it’s EWaste. I just think of how many people will order this and think they got ripped off cause the handheld has 25 Chinese board games on it.

@@AeolusUX That will be great it's not a bad device might not get good Dreamcast and Saturn with audio on it but those are already at the end of this chips limit from my understanding.
I recived my M19 today , i bought it without SD card , a big mistake , because i can not flash an SD card to boot on Emuelec for exemple , on the MMC there is less than 30 chineese games .So I can do nothing with this device.If you"ve goti nfo please let we know

If you did as I did and ordered it without a memory card that’s where emulec is located. The M19 firmware isn’t out there yet but even though it’s not great in the mean time the M18 firmware will work on it with emulec. I have requested a copy of the stock firmware and once I have it I’ll host it likely on my website and post another video with the correct firmware being tested.

This should have better performance but without the correct firmware I’m unsure. I’m working on getting a second handheld with the firmware on it and I’ll readdress it then

I’ve got something patched by adding assets but there hasn’t yet been enough interest to pull me from the projects currently working on. I will get back to it as we have been able to open up Retroarch a bit so there is definitely potential.

I think we all feed off each other but if you look through ,y history I've been renaming gb's for years. Sometimes more appropriate than others. Ii easily could have picked that up from TD his videos often play in the background in my office
