    I enjoy this style where you show everything. Makes me feel more confident that I don’t have to be a pro / it’s okay to mess up a little - it won’t break your device - just have fun with it even though it’s not perfect. I’m also the type that pauses and replays videos when I’m following along with a tutorial, so the more content the better IMO.

      I appreciate your feedback. I also rewind when I watch other people’s videos to make sure I’m doing things correctly

    One mod you may consider is to fix the rattle of the shoulder buttons. I've fixed this by adding a very small amount of thick bearing packing grease into each of the holes that hold the shoulder buttons using a toothpick. Just add a small amount into each hole, then reassemble the back cover back on. The RGB30 will now rattle much less.

      Awesome. I’ve tried finding the right tape or foam to put in there and have so far been unsuccessful

      @@CellPhish Yeah, I never had any success to fix the shoulder button rattles with adding foam padding on the shoulder buttons. The grease was the easy fix. I also tried some car detailing clay in the shoulder button mounting hole which also worked, but was a PITA to get the right amount in the holes; too much and the case top couldn't close, too little and the rattles remained.

    I just ordered this handheld. I've just recently gotten into Pico-8 so im excited to have the big square screen. Great video, love the set up.

      Thank you. I think this handheld single handedly brought Pico-8 back to life. The screen is perfect for it. I’m testing the RGB20SX now. Another Great Pico-8 device

      My newborn work up from a nap so I had to take a break and I forgot to record it. It’s the same on all devices. If you check any of my other build you’ll see it.

    Hi! Thanks for a great video, really cool. I have my rgb30 and i really love it, maybe I am gonna some cosmetics mods. But for my it gets too warm, do you think there is enough space to somehow separate battery from cpu? I was thinking about some thermal pads from razberry pi. Do you think it is worth it and is it possible? Thank you!

    • @CellPhish
      @CellPhish  2 місяці тому

      I actually ordered thermal pads for the Pi but they never showed up. I think there could be some benefit but havnt been able to test it

    I see your battery is 3.7v. Do you have a multimeter? Can you check the voltage of a fully charged battery?

    • @CellPhish
      @CellPhish  2 місяці тому

      I do and I can. It might need to be tomorrow but I’ll check it out

      @@CellPhish Sorry about the long reply. Be careful.
      The only reason I'm asking for full charge voltage is many of these batteries have puffed and died (common complaint of customers). I'm worried that the devices shipped with 3.7v batteries are still being charged as if the battery were 3.8v.
      When a 3.7v battery is charged above 4.2v it's life is shortened substantially every time. Charging above 4.3v can severely damage and puff a battery the first or second time. 3.8v chargers charge to 4.35v which could account for so many RGB30 batteries dieing so early.
      I verified that my 3.8v battery that came with my unit charged to 4.35v in the RGB30.
      If your battery charges to 4.35v, you may want to install a 3.8v battery. The only suitable one I can currently find is a switch lite battery - but that is only 3500mAh losing 500mAh. A Switch Lite battery would also require installing jst connector to the battery to connect to the mobo...
      If you do test this full voltage, be very careful. Fully charged and overcharged batteries give the bigger flames if shorted or pierced.
