  • This video demonstrates how to seam your panels on the table for perfect seams every time. A one man install team is all you need while applying the wrap.

    Thanks for the share I like how you lined everything up perfectly. I had a client send me this video thinking that I could do it with the material they give me but they have much more aggressive adhesive

    You got the job done so cheers but for anyone out there thinking this will work using the calendered wrap they are pushing think again. Also you can get good seams doing panels. Also this has few rivets where many trucks and trailers especially have a ton of rivets which make this type of install nearly impossible. And try and get some sort of scaffold if you want to work longer than 5 years in the industry. Nice job though.

      So i was thinking wet application and in three print would be best, Your opinions? I want to get into this business

    • @bcxaz
      @bcxaz 3 роки тому

      @@sexymonkey4979 You cannot wet apply anything with air release in it. That is going to be all of your cast vinyl options. There are some calendered with air release but if you want to install wet go with calendered and no air release. it is harder to set in any curves or layins which are almost impossible to set so keep that in mind. For flat truk walls and trailer walls wet w calendered is fine but any kind of vehicle or even the cab of a box truck will need a nice thin wrap material that is cast and air release so learn it now so you get some experience in it.

      @@sexymonkey4979 Dude if you got the 20k to drop on the printer then more power to you. I would first learn how to print however. And youtube is great and all but there is nothing lilke learning on your own as well as from experienced printers.There is alot more to the industry then a printer and some rivet tools. You have to learn everything from color manipulation and just all things color. I have been in the industry over 30 years and I still learn things. You will also need a place to run your printer as well as a place to do your installs and to prep your vinyl. It is not free and nor is it very cheap to get into business and it is much more than just a printer and some tools.

I wanna step it up i want/need a warhouse anyhow just waiting for the right one to pop up. To justify the space i am looking i to other sources of income. I understand its a tedious job thats why i have not dived into it, i was thinking maybe even hiring someone would make it a whole lot easier. The scary part is insurance and bad customers

    Very interesting. When I installing outside in Florida, removing 3M IJ180Cv3 liner causes the vinyl to stretch in random places because of its strong adhesive hold on the liner. Are you using Arlon SLX or a similar low initial tac vinyl? 3M's liner would probably rip if I tried to pull even a 52" piece from one side. How did you place that huge roll on the truck by yourself? Also curious about that light blue tape. Seems to be holding the back of the liner and that huge piece on the truck without any drama. Good job and thanks for sharing!

    This would be an absolute disaster where I am. 90° in the shade ten months out of the year. The vinyl sticks like fly paper on first contact. No way would I be able to casually climb off the ladder and tug a corner and the whole thing pull away like they are bedroom drapes.
