    Ive wanted to get into bonsai for a long time. You see a mess in your garden, i see the garden i wish i had. Big, sprawling plants that i can get up to my elbows in nurturing. So im here for the autumn garden vibes.

    Honestly, the caotic placement all over the place, having many that need work and weeding makes me feel better about the caos in my garden 😂 don't ever feel bad about it, I always kove your videos and down to earth honesty ! Thank you for the video, a lot of nice trees in working, can't wait to see them finished one day !

      @@grobonsai 😂definitely not alone, I think everyone's benches are a mess until someone comes over or they make a video and then clean up, like when you were little and someone was coming over so you rush to pick up all the clothes off the floor 🤣 same thing. It was my pleasure to watch your video, your stuff is always fun and insightful, thank you for your hard work, and I hope you get some more engagement and sales soon! You definitely deserve it 🙌

    When you told that story about the wind I was literally taken back to a similiar event that happened 4 months ago with a starter literati Nothofagus! I love that your garden is in the same state as mine with projects in all states. The real world of pre-bonsai and a very creative mind. I'm annoyed that i missed the premiere but kids still expect me to put them first :)

      You can’t make it up hey!? Sounds like you can relate but I just love all types of growing plants and bonsai - seeds, saplings, prebonsai, developing bonsai… maybe one day even refining them hahaha

    I can understand the feeling of getting annoyed at a tree that wasn't what it was sold as. Wanted to get a beech, found a decent one at a nursery over the winter (so no leaves) only to find out in the spring it's actually a hornbeam. Nothing wrong with it, just not what I wanted so I'm grumpy with it!

    • @grobonsai
      @grobonsai  11 місяців тому

      So annoying!
      There’s more to that maples story but I didn’t want to go on. But the nursery sent the tree I selected to a different customer, and his little azalea to me. So they said send his tree to him, he’ll send mine, and they pay the shipping. So I send the azalea and turns out the guy decided to keep my tree! So the nursery send me a different maple - one thats got multiple issues. I was pretty mad, but at least I got a rare beni chidori at last… 🤦‍♂️

    For me, a much better commentary, far more 'natural' than the other recent 'scripted' videos.

    • @grobonsai
      @grobonsai  11 місяців тому

      I understand, but it’s a lot easier to talk naturally when I just have to stand there. Working, talking and being film crew is hard, especially as I’m not naturally talkative. Filming the work silently is a lot faster and less exhausting. Regardless, the audience has spoken, so the next vids will continue the lo-fi style 👍

      I have ants too, which country are you in? I've had success using worm castings to make a tea and soaking the pot in it for a few minutes. There is an enzyme in worm 💩 that is harmful to the ants exoskeleton, so they move out. Also drowning is pretty persuasive haha

      @@grobonsai I am in America. Even if I leave a tree on the ground for a few days, during the warmer times of year, on cement or concrete the ants will take over. I usually drown them as well.
