Loved the tour of Nunney Castle, Alice. Despite the damage caused in 1645 it's still in wonderful shape for it's age and history! Loved your explanation of it's history. Thanks so much for bringing us along. We just love seeing these old castles!

I think General Fairfax was 'Castlephobic' in our modern parlance, seems to have got his jollies by ruining as many old buildings as he could. What a fine castle, with a lovely moat. Thanks for another interesting and informative video.
General Fairfax. I dislike him so much. So much needless destruction everywhere he went. If only the English Civil War hadn't happened. England would be so different.

I think Nunney Castle is one of England's more interesting ruined castles. Given its history, I'm surprised it's still standing.

Totally agree. Fairfax and his mob have so much destruction to answer for. It was an amazing French style castle.
