Unless you play in a band with less than ideal instrumentation, you'll probably never experience flex band, but it's a needed arrangement and very useful for those groups who per say, don't have every part covered in the original score but still want to play the piece. ~ As someone who is conducting this piece with a band with no tubas, no tenor saxophones or bari sax, no bassoons, no oboe, and no euphonium.

I'm a little confused why flex arrangements are becoming more and more of a thing these days. They sound so much worse than the original version....
