Julian Moped not reliable to go to work. It can break down randomly or start going slow and you'll be late or miss a day. Unless you have a Honda or Yamaha brand scooter, don't use moped for work.

I have this exact moped model and color! I drove it for the first time today around my apartment complex! The problems I'm having is breaking or slowing down correctly to stop or turn. I'm a little fidgety with that. What I did was gradually push up on the accelerating handle to slow down but it seems to slow down a little to fast and that's why the turns end up stopping and I have to give it a little more gas to finish the turn lol. And that's not good when I'm driving on the road with other cars. So I saw that you gradually pulled the breaks to stop and to turn? and it was both breaks? cause I had no idea until after watching this video that the right brake was the front brake and that the left break was the rear brakes. And also can mopeds do a u-turn and full cirlce turns? I found it hard to do that i ended up having to manually move the bike in the direction I wanted it lol. I have no one who rides mopeds to properly teach me. So I have to learn it myself. Or I can probably ask the guy at the motorbike place if he can volunteer if I pay him lol. But hopefully this video will solve my problem.
Use front brakes on tarmac :) and rear brakes in more dangerous surface(gravel for example),because if you will break too hard with front brakes in gravel, your front tire is gonna lose traction(i've experienced it).

some states are really restrictive on the top speed, they come from the factory with restrictors, if you are in a state that doesn't pay much attention, there are excellent videos on how to remove the restrictors , it's pretty easy and makes a huge difference, 50 cc engines can generate a decent amount of horsepower depending on compression etc. Plus the carburetor models have all kinds of tricks
so this is for people that have never ridden a motorised anything except for a car. You did good for explaining all the safetyprecautions, I am only 13 and I know all these things... I found one of the scooters online for only $500! So I had to look this up to see if it was real and there are lots of videos! i thought this scooter was going to be a cheap price of junk but it actually turned out to be pretty cool. I have one question tho I ame a motorcycle guy so I was wondering if that little 50 cc engine is enough power to get you up a hill because I'm used to like 250 to 400cc engines.
In New York a 50CC is the only one that you don't need Motorcycle License for. However you need to be 16 with a drivers License, Registered with the DMV ( you get a plate with the reg) and Insurance.
you do need a regular D driver's license in various states. I'm Az I have to have it. Also I took my tank classic moped 49cc on an 11 hour ride gas is still in the tank. I went through mountains today and just got back. make sure you always Chuck oil and gas and your lights and turn light signals.

Only looking at this because it’s like 7 miles to my new job which I don’t fancy walking or cycling, I’d be sweating my tits off if I cycled that to work.
The only similarity between a moped/scooter and a bike is that they both have 2 wheels.
Im 15 and im getting one im so excited
I'm buying my tao tao mc-t04 50cc at powersportsmax for $468 free shipping and comes with a whole bunch of other stuff free

thank you for the video, correction - in some states US, you do have to have a liscence for ANY motorized vehicle on a public road.
It's not classified as a motorized vehicle. They usually fall under the same laws as motorized bicycles instead.
What r the requirement to drive 50cc scooter in Colorado
Great video the helped me a lot! At first I wasn't the greatest then I found this video and really helped me out!
you sound like Wes from how to get away with murder
Great comments during the vid. Drive safe!
would it be possible to drive one of these far distances?
just take brakes
sure, i have a truck, but they are a blast to ride, get a decent one, and get the helmet trunk for the back
Get a water cooled one and your be okay
50cc,is slow uphill , very easy to ride ,but you must stay away from fast traffic.i,am always out on mine.😮
Possible? Yes.
Comfortable? No.
Good job man explained well I would have explained it very similar I've only ridden one 3 times but I'm pretty good it kinda came as 2nd nature and no one thought me any thing was scared a tad at first but now thinking of buying my self a moped as well now
Where did you buy it for 550$?
AbdulProductionz try Craigslist or offerup you can find one for even cheaper on there
AbdulProductionz Go to eBay 🤫
Thanks for the video, getting a moped soon!
I ride gsx1000r and I'm just looking at this like pathetic
Woah my dude, save some pussy for the rest of us, Jesus Christ
I drive a honda cf50 chaly '81 (greece) REALLY HARD bike to drive took a while to learn how to clutch kick and not wheelie but is a good and reliable bike once you get the hang of it (converted from 50cc to 75cc)
what is the top speed? if it is 30 i will be happy :)
Ok.
Lucas K it is
some states are really restrictive on the top speed, they come from the factory with restrictors, if you are in a state that doesn't pay much attention, there are excellent videos on how to remove the restrictors , it's pretty easy and makes a huge difference, 50 cc engines can generate a decent amount of horsepower depending on compression etc. Plus the carburetor models have all kinds of tricks
60mph is common
Nice bike! Good to see another moped motovloger.
I bought my first moped today; this video was so helpful! Thank you so much!
9 years later hows it going
@@anonymousgaming. I rode it for a while until I was old enough to get a car. Been driving ever since. No accidents at all on the moped or the car!
Nice video, I'm thinking of buying one of these soon.
Great tips. Thank you. I'm considering getting one.
I want to buy 1. Thanks for posting this.
That’s epic bro and it looks really nice 👍🏼
so this is for people that have never ridden a motorised anything except for a car.
Im from virginia too, im just watching this because i want to be prepared.
In New York a 50CC is the only one that you don't need Motorcycle License for. However you need to be 16 with a drivers License, Registered with the DMV ( you get a plate with the reg) and Insurance.
of course a DOT helmet
Good Tutorial and even better advice👍🏻
Nice video dude. I did learn much from it😄
you do need a regular D driver's license in various states. I'm Az I have to have it. Also I took my tank classic moped 49cc on an 11 hour ride gas is still in the tank. I went through mountains today and just got back. make sure you always Chuck oil and gas and your lights and turn light signals.
I recomend a moped with gears and clutch, you learn more by that and you can tune it more, better and easier then a scooter
so...a motorcycle?
no its not a motorcycle its basically an engine with a gear box and 2 wheels just look up "Yamaha DT 50" . ik im a bit 2 late but what ever
Awesome Video!!
I'm from Florida and for whatever reason when I've driven in other states I've noticed I'm a much more aggressive driver than other people. However when I'm back home in South Florida everyone drives like I do. I guess aggression is Florida Trait
Got a truck but would rather a scooter. I'm getting one next week or maybe two weeks from now on my bday. Been waiting one since I been riding bikes to work. Use the truck for far distant rides and scooter for work.
thanks for your wonderful teaching to ride scooter . I am from India in Kerala but settled in Oman .we love scooters I and my brother will be getting a scooter that is like the size of moped . I will let from your video.we are not girls we are boys
I just bought 1 and your right on the gasses things wearing them is key at times of bug areas 😆😇☺
you are right.I know in Kansas.you are required a tag and a license to operate one of these
Very good video man, thank for the upload
I want one of these babies getting one Friday
Something none of these videos go over is what the start position for your hand on the throttle is. That's one of the things I need to know. After driving a car for years my foot knows where to be before I push the accelerator. I have no idea how my hand should be placed before I begin to turn the throttle.
Nice Moped, i have the exact same one its just blue
Great video! Am thinking about a moped. But, with so many distracted car drivers out there, seems very risky.
you should go for it.There are pretty fun. A new experience. 😎
I knew the target on your back thing but completely forgot a obout manhole covers. Thanks.
i like your video, good complete information. Thanks!
I own a car but im studying full time now and man petrol
is a struggle now i gotta get one of these.
If you own a moped and you're a petrol head and you know alot about cars/motorsport you have nothing to loose. I drive myself
Great teacher
People keep calling moped to a scooter, and here in California there’s a big difference between these two
Great video, thanks babe
Great video!
Apparently you can get a moped license which is an alternative to getting a driver's license. You just take the written test and you get it
It doesn't depend on the bike if it wants to go on idle. If it does, you just gotta tune the carb.
This was extremely useful! Now I just have to research my State Laws.
