This is the type of random news I need in my life!
This is possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen. I know zoos are controversial, but there is no better solution to a problem started decades ago than making sure they do things like this to give the animals the most enriching life possible. And AZA members do a lot of work with conservation, so these animals can help their wildlife counterparts.

How do you teach an elephant handstands? Also how is he keeping his balance? Okay it’s an indian not african elephant so maybe he’s closer to the yogi culture but I still don’t get how you bring an elephant to lift his “feet” off the earth to do that
I am glad these elephants are getting yoga training to improve their health, but not being locked behind bars will improve their health even more. SMH🤦♀️

To the anti-zoo bunch: ❤ Of course captivity isn't optimal, but these are endangered animals.
Good zoos - and there are lots of them - do so much for conservation awareness and fund raising to help vet care and genetic diversity.
We all know Earth needs triage. Let's be on the same team.

Zoos make me sad but you are right . Seeing some rich guy holding up the severed tail of a wild elephant he paid a million bucks to destroy is devastating . We have to love , protect and learn from the species who try to survive us . Whether it's in the wild or in a zoo we are on the same team .🐘

You know what else would help their mental and physical health… not keeping them in cages
Then we would likely have to get rid of a whole bunch of bad humans. Humans are a serious threat to them in all aspects.
All that beautiful focus on well being, exercise and keeping eyes on possible health issues...and then I hear they feed them bread...why? Elephants bodies don't eat bread in the wild, their beautiful bodies were not built or meant to process bread. Please eliminate the bread from their diet?

This is tragic! These elephants should be free, not trapped in a zoo for human entertainment and exploitation.
That part. It’s a circus act with a modern marketing scheme . Call spade a spade. Release them back to their habitat.
@@jasmineenimsajtheir habits are being destroyed and fragmented. They are being killed. In the last year or so, so many also died due to drought. We got to eliminate some bad humans to make it possible for them to go back and live happily. It’s a bad situation for wild animals.
