Thank you for a great video. Checked out several with no luck. The laminating is what drove me crazy. When my new laminator comes in I will make stickerss again.
This is the best sticker tutorial I have seen. I've been making stickers for a while now but I learned several things from you today. Thank you Ashlee!
Counting the days till summer break so I can get busy trying all the things I’m learning from you. I bought some “neat” sticker stuff probably 2yrs ago. It hasn’t been touched because I haven’t been able to wrap my brain around how inkjet printing could be made durable in dishwashers. Watching this it makes better since. Love the credit card/fabric hack until I get a squeegee. Always learn something from you. I also appreciate how quick your tutorials are too.
The lamination wants to lift up/peel after I cut with the cricut. I'm using 3mm pouches and my machine (scotch brand) only has settings for 3mm and 5mm. Any suggestions?
Hi. Sorry if I missed it. But for the laminating pouch since it’s cut smaller than the paper, do you put the top sheet only on top of the sticker paper? Or do you need the bottom laminating sheet behind the sticker? Thank you.
They are waterproof. The ink tends to wash away, scratch, or bleed with normal wear and tear. Laminating is a great way to seal your ink to the vinyl/paper. Hope this helps♡
I was wondering that too, but I did learn a few months ago that at the bottom of the materials selection screen, you can edit the amount of pressure and how many cuts the machine makes. When you click on the option, it takes you to another screen where you can search for the material you are cutting and then change the parameters accordingly. This comes in handy when you don't have Cricut Access. 👍
Thanks Ashlee for the video. However, I found my stickers (with a sheet of clear laminate) tend to peel off after a few times using the dishwasher. Any suggestion how I can improve the quality? Thanks.
What kind of sticker paper are you using? I do whole heartedly believe that if you’re not using high quality paper, nothing will last long. That said, rubbing cup with rubbing alcohol and letting it dry. Doing this removes any dirt or skin oils preventing stickers from adhering. I don’t generally need to do this, but zap it with heat to activate the glue. I find that if I’m using high quality sticker paper I don’t even need to do that.
So I’ve been using this method of laminating the stickers and they look awesome but I’ve noticed my laminate sheet is SUPER easy to lift away from the sticker after they’re done. Do yours peel off like that? Do you think I have bad laminate paper? I use the hot setting and wait for it to show its ready to laminate
I think it maybe the sticker paper that you’re using. When I use the cheaper sticker paper my stickers don’t stick as well to my cups like when I use a higher quality sticker paper.
Hello, I recently made some of these stickers and put them on a glass mug. Unfortunately the laminate peels off easily with the printed layer. And a sticky layer stays on. Does anyone have any idea what did I do wrong? They were made from cricut waterproof printable vinyl...
as I read this I thought to myself "probably bad quality material" then I finished reading and saw you said "cricut" branded material. In my personal opinion I think any cricut branded material is garbage. I would suggest trying with a different material from a different brand that's better quality.
I’m curious, can a laminator be used to lay the self-adhesive sheets, if the machine has a cold pouch option? Or is that something completely different and just not work?
@@ashleefalco In my mind, I’d have to “hold the laminate in the air” as it fed through, to keep it from just “falling” onto the paper and form bubbles or just fall crooked. Gonna buy one from Walmart and try it
@@ashleefalco*Update* I bought a cheap one from Walmart and tried it with the “cold” setting for Self-adhesive laminate and it worked like a charm! So, I don’t have to worry about bubbles or my mat moving around. 😅
That's a good question. I looked up the temperature on this laminator and it said it gets 257°. It would be interesting to see if you could use a heat press set at that temperature with the laminating sheet.
Yes you can! I've used a heat press to apply laminate to different items to allow me to sublimate on them. I've use it on wood tiles and glass it works great 😊
Can you make a video on a3 and tabloid print and cut. There aren't videos on it on UA-cam and I i have been having issues using a3, it doesn't register. I need tips and recommendations.

WOW! You made making stickers SO EASY to understand. Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
You are an amazing teacher, so glad i found you. Love that you get right to the point and without a little chit chat
Thank you for watching!!! But I have to tell you, I've been called a chatter box, so beware LOL
Hi, thank you for the fabulous video! What settings did you use to cut the stickers on the cricket? thank you again
settings all depend on your machine, but I use vinyl+ mode

I'm also counting down the days for summer break as well! More time to relax, hang out with the kids, and craft.
Excellent video! What laminate sheet are you using at 10:40? The link in the description shows pouches
That's what I'm using, you just use one side.
@@ashleefalcooh, interesting.. Didn't know you could do that. Thanks!

you may need to run your laminate through a few times, sounds like it didn't get hot enough and melt the glues.
Awesome video! I think im going to get going making stickers now! Love that laminator.
the laminator is so nice!
Great Tutorial. Will be trying your technique out soon!
Awesome! Thank you!
What setting do you use for the cut? Sticker paper or another setting?
I generally use vinyl+ but every machine is different.

No reason to do the back, you take the backing off when you want to use the sticker
Which sticker paper do you recommend? & ty for the video!
This is my favorite sticker paper ever: amzn.to/446OF77
This will be my first attempt. Did you use heat to keep them on?
You totally can! It helps the adhesive bond with the substrate.
Would the laminate sheet or holographic sheet work on top of permanent vinyl to make it dishwasher safe?
it will!
Hi Ashley, have you ever done stickers on a3 b4? Can you do a video on a3 sticker sheets?
it'd be the same as this tutorial just printed on a different sized paper.
Can you use matte laminate sheets?
that won't be an issue at all!
So you put laminate over one to make it waterproof would the holographic one not be waterproof?
It depends on your printer but my holographic is waterproof.

Great info! ℹ️
Thank you!!
So what was the point of adding so many layers of the offset to the stickers? Was it so that the machine would cut multiple times on each one?
do to that easy peel sticker method. If you paid for access you could just use the sticker button.

It's because she wanted to do easy peel stickers, so you don't have to peel from the border.

Great tips but I need to ask why you need so many cutters on the shelf? 😅
From 2012 I’ve ran a 6-figure business selling party decor. The cricuts were necessary and I use to have way more than what you see here.
