Update everyone: I passed! I took it today 7-30-2019. It was really quick. I didn’t do the K-Turn though but I did do the parallel parking. Super easy honestly. Just stay calm, and you’ll do great for anyone taking it here :)

I took my test about an hour ago and I passed guys. I was so nervous that I even cried in the car before the test. The route they took me was much different and shorter. Parallel parking was simple except the lady didn’t let me finish and just told me to get out the space and then told me I passed

Carlos Llanos there is a sign not shown in the video of 35 on that one road but automatically goes down cause of school zone and the one other road is 30

I failed mine twice at Rahway because of parallel parking and now I think it’s better for me to just go to Edison, do u think it’s better there than Rahway?
@@Dee-mv8xr rahway is too picky. I failed twice as well. I though rahway would been easier since it's a closed course but someone told me that it's very hard to pass there because the instructors are very strict and the fact that it's on a closed course makes you feel like you have more control than you really do but if you take it on the regular road you'll just be doing what you would usually do and you'd have a better chance of passing
I had a test there about 3 days ago. Passed the first go. Thanks to my driving teacher or whatever and the inspector I had was very nice. Test is very easy If I did it so can you! PRACTICE! You'll do great.
@@gabrieladiaz4945 I did it where the video was taken. Honestly I think they are all the same. Just know parallel parking, K-Turn (3 point turn), and just normall driving. Make sure u stop behind stop line for 3 seconds, if there is a thing blocking your vision pull up, stop count to 3 seconds again and then go. Right turn sharp wheel rotation, left turn not a lot. Just remember don't cut corners and all of that stuff. You'll do great.
@@arjunc2266 Yes, we skipped reverse. But honestly I think when you do k turn they count the reverse part into reversing. Also I think they made it shorter. They try to shorten the time with everybody so they make you do less things. Don't worry even though I don't know you I know you can do it. Dont worry just say you can and you know how to do everything and you will do great. You GOT THIS!
Just a heads up my daughter and I made this video several years ago before we found out there are multiple routes for the Edison New Jersey road test. Good luck to everyone who takes it. she actually passed her test in Rahway which I think is so much easier but I've heard multiple and instructors say they grade a lot harder in Rahway
@@pharaoh6977 I failed and I didn't even make any mistakes. I needed more practice per the instructor. My sister had that same instructor and she passed her while she made several mistakes. You can never tell with these people.
Yoo congrats. Was the test overall simple/easy? I'm taking mine in a few days and the only thing thats getting me super scared is the parallel parking segment hahah. Is it kind of tight or is there a large amount of space for that?

The route was the same as in the video but a little easier as you keep going straight after the stop sign instead of making a right. I will say the instructor def matters. The one I got was very chill and simple. You'll be fine. I was the first one to take the test and like 99% of the people passed that were taking it the same time as me.
I just took my test, passed it first try. (9/04/2020). It was super easy, this is pretty much the exact same route they take you on, but they made me K turn out of the road test waiting line into the back of the parking lot for parrallel parking, then you proceed to the road. There was like 2 stop signs on 4 roads n that's it 😂. Just practice ur parallel parking.. space isn't forgiving for big cars. Try not to use a Range Rover like me lol

Based on what my driving instructor told me the route is a lot shorter than this one. It's basically just around the block and back to the dmv. I'm hoping it's actually like that because I haven't practiced on the road in this video only the one my instructor has told me
@LarryMar hi, I took my test at kilmer on 6/8/22 and I passed. They'll make you turn right after pulling out the mvc and left onto truman drive, then a left on Road 2, from there it's a straight road til you turn left again onto Kilmer you will then turn right back to the mvc where you started. It's literally around the block. I've seen some examiners make some people go the opposite way and start where you'll be coming back from but its the same route, just the opposite way. I'd say practice driving around the area, that way if they decide to take you off the common route you'll still be familiar with the roads. The parallel parking is in the carpark and whether you do it before or after going on the road is up to the examiner. I did mine after. There's 2 sides you can parallel park on. Either the left side or right side. If on the right, you'll pull up to the parking spot, park, and then k turn out of the parking spot, and they'll ask you to demonstrate a reverse. If you park on the left side you'll k turn first onto the left side of the carpark, reverse and then park. It's very easy. The whole test was about 15 minutes, and the examiner I got was super friendly.

I know this late but just in case you still wanted to know.. You have to go to driving school I can't give you a specific number. Just go on Google and look for driving schools in your area. You'll have to pay a fee and it can usually be from a $100 and up. Otherwise if you have a family member or friend's car you can use you can do that too.

Except you didn’t make a full stop at the stop sign. And the speed is not 35 . The whole way is 25 mph.

Took my test here today on my second try after taking it the first time in Rahway and I passed .It's super easy and you just have to be relaxed.

Lodi’s road test is in a parking lot. They don’t take you out onto the actual street. Good luck!
