I really envy this young man's journey into guitar. I was 67 before I bought my first guitar. I missed out on a life-time of pleasure!!

No other school for him, He doesn't need to become a doctor, businessman or engineer. Just have him spend countless hours inside his room with only the guitar all day long .... Hope he gets a great flamenco teacher, cause God has given him a great talent. Cheers little man!!
Very talented young man. I am a professional Classical and Flamenco Guitarist and can only encourage this boy to continue. He has a God given talent.
Absolutely wonderful to see and hear the raw talent of an eight-year old. His parents and grandparents must be proud of him. This reminds me of my grandson Malachi of who I am now convinced he was born with natural/ raw musical talent. I love this video - thank you for sharing.
The tune he's playing is a modified version of "Herencia Latina" by Paco Pena, from Pena's music instruction book

My fingers hurt like hell when I try flamenco. How does this kid manage it with suck freaking ease? Real great stuff!

Not "probably". . .he *is* using nylon. With almost no exceptions all flamenco and classical guitar players do.
As to fingers hurting, after you build up calluses, the fingertips don't hurt so much. Lots of practice builds up strength in left hand so barres don't hurt so much. Its easy for him, because he's clearly been playing and practicing a lot. Good for him.
There is no real secret here except for one. You have to love playing to motivate you to do the work necessary to develop the skill. IE, if you don't love it you can't do it!

this very simple technique any one can learn this is rumba.
@@yoshimario4206 he has great rhythm, a decent picado, great thumb dexterity, and his fretting his hand was incredibly precise throughout the whole piece. This wasn’t just a basic rumba strum.

He's not even half as good as he soon will be. He has the basics down great with good feel. Soon as he matures he will add the fire that comes from becoming a young man and then those strings are really gna sizzle. Keep up the good playing. Can't wait to see what you become.

Anyone know what kind of guitar this is?
It's a flamenco guitar, which is a little different than a classical.
Not bad for his age, shows promise but Spain has many children that play and sing flamenco guitar amazingly at this age so he'll have a lot of company but this is pseudo flamenco at best.
