I got Alex drawers in the past year. My top two drawers are by age, the oldest makeup in top drawer. These are my "visit first" if I am selecting anything for makeup bag or focused panning. Then I have a drawer for bronzer/highlighter, one for eyeshadow, one for powder/blush, and then one drawer for unopened backups/minis. It is a 6-drawer unit, so one drawer also has packaging I am keeping, pouches, dust bags, little boxes with cool art. My lipsticks are numerically little over what I would like to have, but I used up three lipsticks and two glosses this year to date. Lipsticks are deceptive little buggers who really show how insidious they are to shopping temptation. It is so easy to splurge on a lipstick, one of the least expensive ways to get something new for the season. But they are the first makeup items to go off, and I had such a painful declutter last time of off lipsticks that I don't want to get that much again. My age drawers are a good way for me to track what really needs to get used.
I used to have 4 mac pallets full of different brand single eye shadows. I now have one mac pallet of singles and one other UD pallet. That's it. My makeup fits in a small train case now.
I have to keep a very minimal makeup collection because my particular combination of OCD/anxiety means I MUST finish every last drop of makeup before I throw it away. So I live vicariously through you and your super fun eye makeup drawer 😊
I did a pretty ruthless decluttering/downsizing of my makeup this past week and am extremely happy that all of my full size blushes highlighters and bronzers including multi product palettes now fit in one square basket on my vanity. I am planning a project pan to see how much super basic eyeshadow I use in a year if I do a look daily so I can decide if I want to downsize more. You have really inspired me to examine my habits around beauty products in a realistic way. ❤️
I used to use that same plastic divider stuff. It used to get something under it and then everything would get out of it's partitions. I just switched to acrylic boxes because I don't have a lot anymore.
In your bronzer/blush/highlight drawer, maybe just divide the drawer into 3 sections using your dividers - one section for each type of product? Then there's no need for overflow sections. I love these organizing vids!
So many people love it and it makes it easier for me too because I can just turn on the camera and do the job, rather than spending hours and hours chatting about it lol. I love seeing it all come together in editing too, very satisfying! xx
I have these dividers as well, and love them for certain things, mainly smaller, like lipsticks etc. It helps if you buy some of that "rubber anti skid mat" to put under rugs and cut to size under, you know the stuff with holes. For my other drawers I got super cheap containers off AliExpress, and some large spring loaded dividers- there's so many cheap good storage solutions that doesn't have to be the expensive acrylic containers that are made for the alex ♥ LOVE these videos, so satisfying and calming, please never stop 😅 Thanks for sharing with us ♥ Xx
-Also, the large Christmas ferrero rocher chocolate 24 packs come in amazing acrylic box packaging that is great to reuse for storage because both top and bottoms are same size and you get to eat delish chocs 🤗 Xx
Why is it when you decide to rearrange a drawer and take it all out it never goes back the same!! I did that a week ago and had stuff left over and I am too scared to try again in case I end up with more LOL xx
I can't help but feel like something other than the alex drawers would work better, something with deeper drawers where you can easily acess the back of the draws.
Yeah I just feel like I'd like something else, no rush to get it done but I think if I can find something that fits the drawers well then I'd be up for it :)
I love these videos! I hope Freya is feeling better. Been thinking about y’all! ❤Ik it can be stressful to reorganize, especially when you have a lot of makeup. I got a new vanity a few weeks ago bc my Alex drawers were overflowing. I’m moving stuff around little by little, just trying to get things in places that actually make sense. Like not putting lipstick with foundation. Lol
Lucky you. The drawers in my bathroom are narrow (about 9 inches wide) and the back five inches are completely hidden to the eye under the vanity top. So, only the front twelve inches are useful.
💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜 I come for the clickity clacks... also, is it a bad time to tell you there is a company in Wangara (Perth) that does the acrylic organisers for the Alex drawers? I mean I didn't say that out loud... at all! But if you wanna know, hit me up! Totes not affiliated...
Well, even though you didn't get full organization satisfaction, you are still reigning queen of makeup click-clacks! Thank you!

I would like to see you go through and swatch all you single eyeshadows and see if you have any dupes.

I really needed a clicky video today.
YAAAASSS it’s clicky-clacky time!!
Watching this whilst organising my bedside cabinet 🙌 No satisfying clickety clacks, but I've found some jewellery I thought I'd lost!

Hailey, you will never know how soothing I find the clickety-clack of you reorganising your makeup. I know, it's weird.

Are you going to be decluttering or counting your items when you’re back in Melbourne for Christmas? Or maybe bringing everything else back to Perth?
hearing you cuss in chipmunk made me lol XD
I've never done it, but I know there is a way to "hack" the alex drawers so that they do pull all the way out so you can reach everything
Yup I've done it in the past, if they get too heavy it can be a problem though so haven't done it with these ones xx
Why is it when you decide to rearrange a drawer and take it all out it never goes back the same!! I did that a week ago and had stuff left over and I am too scared to try again in case I end up with more LOL xx
I'm pretty sure there was some cursing while the dividers were being set up! Lol!
There was indeed hahahahah xxx

Big w do some great acrylic trays! Some good shallow long ones as well
I always love your specialized partitions but totally understand wanting to change it up.
Yeah I just feel like I'd like something else, no rush to get it done but I think if I can find something that fits the drawers well then I'd be up for it :)
Love, love, love! Ty! 🎉❤🎉
I’ve been waiting for this one! Grabbing my headphones now 😍
My favorite kind of video, right when I needed it! ❤❤❤
Great vid Hailey ❤
I’m at this same place from my move. I can’t get my draws as organized as I had them before and it bugs me.
Your organizing videos are my crack.

Hey Hailey, why don't you use the Kaleidos tins and its lids as containers for organizing?
Those dam ikea drawers 🥴❤️
I like the new outro
Thank you :)
I needed this video 😅
Hi Hailey! How do you feel about the Clinique face spray? I was eyeballing that in a little kit a couple weeks ago.
I really like it, great formula and very popular from what I understand because it can be hard to find sometimes xx
@@HaileyO than you, Hailey!
20+ minutes of clickety clack noises?! 💖
love hearing clicking noise.❤
Do you love close to an airport ?
