However, a good pair of black trousers is an essential part of any woman’s wardrobe - so I’m walking you through my favourite ways to wear them for today’s Closet Confessions. I am so glad you showed what shoes to wear with your cropped wide leg jeans. I always wear mine with flat trainers and look like a giant hobbit and my husband and son laugh at me 😂

Loved this one! I wear black trousers a lot and so often I just can't get the look right. It's time to diversify my footwear and jackets, and get some sparkly neutrals so I don't look so boring and old-fashioned, and instead emulate your fabulous style. Also, in love with your navy velvet (?) jacket and the black velvet coat 💘💘
Your white fringe shirt gave me the inspiration to altere one of the shirt I own and don’t wear. And just like that, I have 10 ways to re-wear it. Thank for doing black trousers, I always thought of them boring but now, not that much 😅

Great video - and taking me by surprise as I realize that I only have one pair of black trousers, and absolutely no black, brown or navy tops to go with it! I always wear them with either a strong lemon yellow or lime green😅 Now I will see if I can stretch my style to maybe include a black top as the colour really suits me😍 For the next CONFESSION could you please try to include vintage plus size? 🙏I know there's so little out there so how about styling men's wear on large curvy bodies? 🕺That concept would give far more women a chance to wear vintage clothes rather than trying to find something on Vestiaire (other than handbags)🥰

I would love a video on maternity clothing and how to stay fashionable whilst comfortable in maternity clothes. About 4 months pregnant today and have found nice things but I'd love Trinny's take on this.
The way you explain why certain things work and why others do not is so helpful!!! The black jacket that flares out with the pleats would look adorable as a dress with chunky loafers…maybe more on a short person bc of the length. I appreciate your content so much. It has really inspired me to try different things and actually styling an outfit. Normally I try something on and and if it’s not something similar to what I usually wear then I immediately think it doesn’t work, but that’s not always the case I’m learning from you.
A really great video as usual. While I was watching it, the thought came to me that these videos would be a great guide to young girls just entering the working world.
I remember the first lesson I was taught by a supervisor upon my first entry into a formal work setting.
She told me that I should get a navy blue, black and brown jacket as they would allow me to create numerous outfits. I tell you, it changed my fashion game.

I love the VC coat. Funny enough, I actually thought of that coat yesterday and how excited you were to find it as I found a gorgeous coat on Real Real (similar to VC) in my size and color for a steal! It is such a great feeling to find something you love that works for your body type and style on those sites - I now understand why you were so excited! For the past 4 or so years I have been hyper aware of where clothing is made - ethical practices are THE most important factor for me when shopping. So I have been doing all my shopping from 3 UK companies for my casual and business clothing and cashmere (100% ethical businesses practices in both sourcing and manufacturing) and if I cannot find what I need I shop RealReal and have made the most amazing finds! It is sad that I had to hunt so long to find these businesses but it is a great feeling when you realize you do not have to compromise on your core values when shopping! Hopefully we will see more clothing companies in the US following the small business ethics in the UK. For now, thank goodness for DHL! :)
Great video Trinny. Just an FYI that lovely fringe blouse from Massimo Dutti is from their Studio line. the Indetex brand, Uterque- which I know you liked, closed last year. Most of the design team went to Massimo Dutti studio. It's my favourite. Not as quirky as Uterque used to be, slightly more minimalist but still fun. ❤

Good video today. Re you requesting tips for next video-I lived in USA for 20yrs, The Real Real fantastic place to buy & sell quality designer stuff , now I am back in UK, I see import duty and returns a drawback to me trying to use them again. They do not make it easy but not all international sites have this hassle-can you use your influence to get them to sort this out so us Brits can use RealReal with confidence?

Love this! I was really struggling with black pants and styling trousers of different lengths with different shoes. I need help figuring out what is out of style and I need to let it go permanently vs what to keep that could be vintage?? Help with metallics for a cooler skin tone? How to know what type of sunglasses compliment your face shape? For a classic black heel, is it necessary to go with a pointy-toe slim heel or are other types of black heels considered “classic”? Hitting 50 this year and doing a big closet clean-out focusing on classic pieces. Thanks Trinny and team for all of the inspiration!
Felt very seen that all the things she said work for hourglass/shortwaisted people were all the things I do! Cropped wide leg with fitted tops and boots that accentuate the ankle. And, if you’re shortwaisted a thick belt needs to blend into the look.

Black is a great base colour to enhance other colours,pinks yellows . Contrasts are great with black. Maybe a black outfit and a splash of colour in footwear.
